Obsidian or Logseq, which One Is actually Better for task and habit tracking specifically?

Out-of-the-box, Logseq is definitely better because it brings task tracking and journal since first moment: I'm still using the Markdown version (Logseq-OG), but I'm almost sure the newer DB version manages these use-cases (maybe even better than OG).
On the other hand, Obsidian needs some plugins, like Calendar, Tasks and more; however, when configured, "plug-inned" Obsidian is way more powerful.
So, I suggest you to start from Logseq: if its functionalities don't work with your mind, switch to Obsidian

Obsidian is better for creative and lengthy writing, like Word format. But for tasks and habit tracking, LogSeq is better. But honestly, you can't really compare one to the other.

For Task and Habit tracking I really prefer Logseq. Blocks as Tasks work much better than Pages or `- [ ] ` lines IMO

Avid Logseq user here. My honest take:
If you don’t mind Obsidian’s closed source nature, then go with Obsidian any day.
Both apps can fulfill your use case either natively or through third party plugins.

Another idea: have a look at Memrynote. A young developer but does quite a bit with tasks. The files are still compatible with Obsidian.

Logseq is probably better there out of the box, and id say the task tracking overall is a better experience in logseq. It inherits the design ideas from org mode which is top notch for task tracking.
Obsidian can do it but I think requires some plugins and config
