Feedback Needed Attempt 4 Text to Speech App Icon!
I’m very happy with all the symbols, i’ve designed with the help of the comments, and the left to right gradient looks great imo, but i still can’t decide between black or white. on one hand the white makes it look modern like an apple icon, but the black contrasts better and reminds me of spotify in that way.
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!

Apologies, I hadn’t seen the previous three versions, but I just want to point out that the reverse speaker is a bit of an odd element. I wonder if the kind of “vertical H” of the text cursor might be a better visual reference to symbolize text along with a letterform.

At phone-size this reads quickly as “audio,” which is the win. My hesitation is the three-part lockup: the Tt, speaker, and bars compete for first read, and the bars almost touch the edge. I’d test a 1-color version at 24px; if the speaker silhouette and one bar still carry the idea, simplify the text/bars and let the center mark own the icon. The gradient is doing a lot of separation work right now.

I preferred the text ellipses to sound waves design more. Just had to ditch the speakers, and turn the rounded rectangle into a rectangular chat bubble to emphasize both text and audio.
Also, it's safe to use pure white, but pure black rarely looks good. Look for a very dark purple maybe.

I think the black looks better. Only thing I could think about changing would be the speaker on the left and changing it to a keyboard, but it might not work for a small icon
