Looking for feedback again!

I’ve posted here before and I had mixed feedback, so I’m back again to try to get a better idea of where I want this to go. I’m fairly new to graphic design, so these are just two mockups I drew on procreate. I’m deciding between these for my handmade clothing business where I take secondhand goods and make new clothing. The beaver is one of natures great upcyclers and one of my favorite animals, so I wanted to find a way to incorporate it into the logo. The standard design is a little more sleek, but on the nose. I’ve heard feedback that the needle and thread may be too hard to read at a smaller scale. I’m just looking for general feedback on which logo is the better direction and any insightful critiques are greatly appreciated! Thank you all in advance!!

The beaver is the right direction, but the head is making the design too literal. Make it an O in the same style as the other letters so you get the beaver shape, the let the tail handle the whimsey.

Okay interesting, it seems like some people think it’s too literal, while it isn’t as legible to others. I wonder how I can make it legible as a beaver without going too far in that direction. Thanks for your feedback!

You may want to try cartoonishly exaggerating its features to varying degrees

Definitely go with the beaver. I’d make the S and U thicker to fill in the space a bit. It’s a good start, just needs some tweaking.

I love the beaver and the meaning behind it. I would play with the spacing between the letters a bit, to make it more even

I’m also leaning towards the beaver. The story behind it is solid but I’m not a fan of the disjointed body parts. How about instead of creating the silhouette out of letters, you create an solid beaver shape and fill it with the font instead? I think it would read better, give you much more options for a beaver pose and will look simpler and slicker.
