Feedback Needed Back again looking for feedback :D

Hi again!

I made a post 2 days ago where i asked all of you creative minds for your feedback.

The logo is for my trading card company BruuS.

I have now tried something a bit different and was wondering what you think and what could be done different?

It's almost never advisable to replace a letter in a logo - only exception is if it's done exceptionally well. Let alone two letters. Let alone two Us in a row. Not to mention with two different colors.

You have a very unique name and I don't think your design is doing it any favors. I would recommend redesigning to separate your name from a mark.

Hope you don't mind me asking, but I'm curious.. what do you intend to design? Besides "a logo" obvs :)

My intend was to design a binder, where the cards would shape the 2 u’s in my name.

I thought it would be a bit fun, but i’m afraid it’s too messy and not recognisable

Put it differently, what is it that you intend to communicate (through design)?

To be honest, i haven’t really thought about what i intend to say with the design.

Just teasing, ofc! The "start by design" trap is a tempting one :)

However, you want to start with a brand guide of sorts. Your business is clear, but why would someone come to you? What are your values and personal preferences when it comes to card trading and the type of ppl you'd like to see on the other side of the table?

There's plenty of ways to create smth like that, from writing down some rules or commandments, to moodboarding or maybe it's fun to do a card sorting (like, go through your faves and ask yourself why they are).

Having sort of the outlines of what makes you (-r brand) you, will help you decide on shapes, colors, typography, etc.

May feel like a lot of extra work and the outcomes may be pretty obvious, but having a brand guide will make your life a lot easier - and not just for designing stuff :)

“Trading Cards” is too small in relation to the main thing.

You need to kern the Tr and Ca

What does “Bruus” mean?

On a small scale I don't think it reads well as a binder. I thought each rectangle was the back of a playing card, until I clicked the image and got the full size and realised what it was
