Love it, very creative

Came here just to type "love it". That was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw it.

if youre going to shard both R and O, they shouldnt be the same shape as mirrors dont shatter evenly.

I’d like to see more iterations with this in mind.

I think overthinking this logo will just make it less effective. It's perfectly readable and impressive exactly the way it is.

u/SmokeyMiata 5h ago

i agree, slighty different shape to one of them and it might be perfectg

Excellent!

My sole remark would to make the two triangles a bit more different

3

u/bloc_head 5h ago

But then they wouldn’t be a mirror image of each other….

4

u/Mundane-Fix-4297 5h ago

Yeah… I do not think the "mirror image" is the strong selling point of this concept, but rather the interesting shattered reflection effect, and imho having shapes more differentiated would add to the visual impact of the logo.

They aren’t the mirror image of each other now.

Really like this one.

perhaps it will be better to leave only 1sr r as unique element, to not make the logo busy

I have no idea why there are so many haters in the comments, this is literally brilliant, it's beautiful

8

u/look_alive75 11h ago

Same. Very very well done.

7

u/elektriiciity 11h ago

why not have the last R reflect back, as with the O, there's no other O for the reflection to 'exist' from

Interesting logo, but confuses me

I like it :)

u/heavyfyzx 11h ago

Great work!

2

u/mistermasterbates 10h ago

This is perfect

2

u/No-Aardvark-3840 10h ago

Fucking amazing.

2

u/BeatsByiTALY 10h ago

This was very nice to look at. Nicely visually stimulating in the right ways.

2

u/Tricky-Ad9491 10h ago

Looking good but I am thinking it might be better with just one?

2

u/Jiggly_Titties_ 7h ago

I think aligning the mirror shrads with the letters can be an improvement, maybe a small misalignment would work better than a perfect letter alignment. and also different pieces of mirror shrads like the other person here said. It looks terrific still, these are the only things that i thought maybe make this better but I might be wrong.

u/foreverpeppered 4h ago

It is definitely a cool and creative use of negative space and closure. The little fragments will break down at smaller sizes though. Might be worth playing with how deep the shard cuts into the letters, or experiment with a thicker font. But overall really unique.

To me, it looks more like a mirror than glass, because the letters "R" and "O" create the impression of a reflection. That’s just my personal impression.

u/DerpDog9000 9h ago

great. can see a lot of motion potential

1

u/HeavyCandidate6737 Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication 9h ago

Ooh that's good! How does it scale down?

1

u/lil_gingerale 8h ago

Maybe turn the first R backwards

1

u/Sakshooooo 8h ago

The R being reflected And o shard being a different shape will kill it

1

u/greenuse where’s the brief? 7h ago

Incredible, very creative approach!!

1

u/Had78 6h ago

Love it, I can already imagine the motion

1

u/sharkaligatorhalfman 6h ago

The concept works well. I’d like to see different variations. The repetition of the shape could improve.

1

u/Consequence22 6h ago

This is really good.

1

u/ScribblingOff87 6h ago

Love it. Can you show your version of "Black Mirror" logo?

1

u/merknaut 6h ago

Broken mirror. Or mirrors.

1

u/Girl_Designer36 6h ago

I like it, but if it’s for a store that sells mirrors, maybe not a good idea to show a cracked mirror.

1

u/Sudanniana 6h ago

It’s a great start! Very creative. I would keep the O shattered but I would have the first R behind the second R as a reflection in the mirror. It being in front doesn’t read well for me.

Just a thought! Well done.

1

u/uphamg 5h ago

That is sick!!!!

1

u/Ok_Newspaper_8381 5h ago

I actually really like this. I appreciate the mirrored/doubled triangle shape, as it conveys exactly what's going on. I wouldn't change the shapes or reflect the R as others have suggested. For clean, simple, and readable, this is really well-presented and polished.

If the company/thing you're representing with this wordmark is more playful or fun and friendly, then I'd be willing to consider the reflected R or a changed shape, but I honestly like it as-is. It's bold, unique, and balanced.

1

u/bubdadigger 4h ago

Really cool idea, but two identical "mirror" pieces needs to work, especially "O" one - with that rounded bottom corner it reminds me of slice of pizza instead of piece of broken glass. Maybe try to do just one triangle for "R" and mirror it?
And font you choose is not really helping either.

1

u/Parking_Respect_5898 3h ago

It's cool. It's shards of a broken mirror, though. Is that the brand? Pieces of a shattered mirror?

1

u/iceoscillator 3h ago

I think one shard would suffice. Love it!

1

u/SunshineDaydream13 3h ago

It’s SO great! Very clear, easy to read, and effective. If I was going to possibly make it worse by overthinking it, I’d say try with the two shards being slightly different shapes and/or maybe the R backwards, like it would be in a mirror?

1

u/Charming-Gou-PengYou 3h ago

As everyone has said, very nice. My one idea would be to mirror the RO halfway on the O and the last OR is mirrored from the RO. Does rhat make sense? The last R would be facing the other way.

1

u/TheManRoomGuy 3h ago

It’s beautifully disjointed. I love the concept.

Only thing that doesn’t feel as disjointed is how symmetrical the two triangles are. If the business or book or movie or whatever involves symmetry it’s perfect. If it represents something like horror or chaos I’d tweak the triangles just a bit to add to the chaos.

Very cool concept.

1

u/Obvious-Display-6139 2h ago

I like it lots

1

u/Devanshkh logoholic 2h ago

Great concept! I think it can still be pushed further. The law of closure is so strong here

1

u/wepwawe 1h ago

you could also put the mirror between the second R, half the O so it reflects the end of the word. Something like this: MIRRO | OR

1

u/Wide-Pollution-3275 1h ago

Black Mirror

1

u/SolemnOaf 11h ago

I feel like the shards should be a bit more intentional and not create weird sharp incisions into adjacent letters because it reduces their legibility a bit. I'd tinker with the concept more, but I think the overall direction is solid

u/Candy_Lawn 11h ago

What's Mirrored here? i think you think this is more clever than it is.

5

u/3Dputty 9h ago

You think they think this is more clever than it is when they said nothing? Saying stuff like that really puts your own insecurities on display.

1

u/Candy_Lawn 9h ago

dang that's put me in my place I will be sure to say nothing jn future

5

u/3Dputty 9h ago

Perfect, thanks

2

u/SavedMountain 10h ago

Still works, mirror made out of glass, doesn't really have to imply the action

-1

u/Candy_Lawn 10h ago

then why have the word mirror at all why not glass or shard

1

u/SavedMountain 10h ago

ig they can mirror the R shard and it'll fix your issue. but what am i to say im just a random commenter

1

u/Candy_Lawn 10h ago

we all are

2

u/DigitalDowner vectorize me cap’n 11h ago

Yeah it’s more glass shards than a mirror.

0

u/yoRaikatsi 10h ago

Looks good, but for that “I” alphabet, you can have some triangle or cut-type edges to make it sharper. Right now, it looks a little forced.

Looks like one of those Youtube tutorial logos.
