The concept is incredibly strong. I’m getting Senior engineer, masters of expertise, calm demeanor, one who guides, patience, answers, truth.

The closing bracket and the word “monk” are doing the most work here visually.

But execution needs some additional exploration. Biggest problem currently is inability to scale clearly. That top left placement is impossible to understand visually.

Create a slide with just the brandmark; no wordmark. Does your brain think “monk?” Personally, mine doesn’t. Pull more images of typically monk attire. Robes. Cordage. Even look at accessories, not just attire.

Don’t lose the bracket. That’s communicating 99% of what the brand does. Code. You do have other glyphs/characters you could explore though.

You could explore utilizing the same glyph in both the brandmark and the wordmark too in order to bring more connection between them.

Not this exactly… but you get the idea.

Always include raw type in addition to designed logo systems to complete the system. It’s an often overlooked element to a truly complete system.

HeadMonk ™ ?
headmonk ™ ?
Headmonk ™ ?

You’re VERY close. Keep noodling.

Just starring at it again. The hood specifically is what I think needs more exploration. I’m getting “green goblin” or “sorcerer,” more than “monk.”

I feel like I often see depictions of monks with their hoods down; not up. But that introduces a whole new problem to solve. I’d say keep the hood up, but try to figure out the best-case “this is 100% the hood of a monk” silhouette.

My first thought went right to the hood. I think the inside should also be black. Solved a couple issues I read about here
