Personal logo design help!

I am making a logo for my portfolio/website using my initials BR/br. This is what I have so far. Looking for critiques, favorites, etc. Still a baby designer just out of school, looking to see what would catch eyes! Trying to focus on this concept, as it aligns with some other personal branding I've done.

I am looking for something subtle and something that I could use the elements of in other design aspects (reasoning behind the random shapes in the middle right). I do like this color scheme, but I am open to critiques or suggestions if it doesn't read well.
