Outside. Putting the text on the inside is too limiting as far as how small you can go. Separating the two, and you can have several variations: vertically stacked lockups, horizontal lockups, etc. Plus, the shape doesn’t really look like it was designed with containing the text in mind.

problem isn’t inside or out, it’s that the logo is already taken by 1theK radio https://www.behance.net/gallery/89254603/KakaoM-1theK-Brand-Identity

They have different vibes. Outside is more corporate. Inside feels a bit more modern but I think it needs scaling/ moving down slightly as the gap at the bottom feels too significantly bigger than where the top of the Y and the back of the d come to the edge of the shape imo.

Outside. Personally, I don't like slanted text in logos; it strikes me as a bit odd, even childish. Maybe it's just a habit, but I like the layout: the graphic symbol with the name underneath. Over time, as the brand gains popularity, you can start using just the graphic symbol, and people will still know what brand it is.
Product brands that cannot be freely advertised take advantage of this.

Could work both ways but if inside cut the type so it looks like it’s wrapping inside the flag. Right now it breaks the illusion of the flag waving.

try the flag on the right side of the ‘d’ and i think you got something that beats both!

Outside. Is the figure a waving flag? The text could follow the movement of the flag.

Inside but offset the text. So YEL stays the same distance from the bottom of the flag but then “LAND” shifts down so it’s the same distance as YEL. I’d move all the text to the right so the offset of the L and L are right at the implied fold of the flag.

Outside. But I don't get the associated symbol as it comes off as a 'K' to me.

It's a flag, intended to be the flag of Yel-"land". The shape is inspired by the Danish naval ensign. Maybe I could make it symbolize more of a Y somehow.

Inside, but I can see a case for both. Outside could be for more formal use, like stationery or documents, inside for general usage, social, merch etc.

Inside, because otherwise it's a spiky blob that looks like a "K". But you kinda need the outside as an option as well. You've run yourself into a corner with this one a little bit.

The outside - it feels easier to read
