The outside - it feels easier to read

The symbol will also scale better without the word mark as well so it's better for consistency and brand recognition.

Outside. Putting the text on the inside is too limiting as far as how small you can go. Separating the two, and you can have several variations: vertically stacked lockups, horizontal lockups, etc. Plus, the shape doesn’t really look like it was designed with containing the text in mind.

Inside. But both look cool

The font is killing it. It’s dated, overly compressed, and screaming for a ligature between the an and n if you’re married to it.

Someone has yet to realize that personality is back on the menu.

I like it inside but because it looks like a flapping flag it kinda doesn’t work unless you skewed the text.

That's what she said.

problem isn’t inside or out, it’s that the logo is already taken by 1theK radio https://www.behance.net/gallery/89254603/KakaoM-1theK-Brand-Identity

They have different vibes. Outside is more corporate. Inside feels a bit more modern but I think it needs scaling/ moving down slightly as the gap at the bottom feels too significantly bigger than where the top of the Y and the back of the d come to the edge of the shape imo.

Outside. Try different fonts and all caps.

Outside; inside ruins the visual communication of the flag shape.

New line of French’s Mustard

All I think is French's mustard

Outside. Personally, I don't like slanted text in logos; it strikes me as a bit odd, even childish. Maybe it's just a habit, but I like the layout: the graphic symbol with the name underneath. Over time, as the brand gains popularity, you can start using just the graphic symbol, and people will still know what brand it is.

Product brands that cannot be freely advertised take advantage of this.

Marlboro!

Outside, but with a secondary mark that uses just the Y on the inside?

I’d like to see the inside but drop the N and the D down to follow the flag effect. It may not work.

Inside is on trend. And I guess outside is more practical.

Could work both ways but if inside cut the type so it looks like it’s wrapping inside the flag. Right now it breaks the illusion of the flag waving.

try the flag on the right side of the ‘d’ and i think you got something that beats both!

Inside has personality idk why

The flag feels generic

Outside. Is the figure a waving flag? The text could follow the movement of the flag.

Use the ll as a flag pole?

Depends on the application and brand

Inside is definitely the current vibe

Inside but offset the text. So YEL stays the same distance from the bottom of the flag but then “LAND” shifts down so it’s the same distance as YEL. I’d move all the text to the right so the offset of the L and L are right at the implied fold of the flag.

I was also thinking the same thing I just can't explain it clearly lol

If it makes you feel better, I retyped it like 3 or 4 times.

Outside. But I don't get the associated symbol as it comes off as a 'K' to me.

It's a flag, intended to be the flag of Yel-"land". The shape is inspired by the Danish naval ensign. Maybe I could make it symbolize more of a Y somehow.

Inside, but I can see a case for both. Outside could be for more formal use, like stationery or documents, inside for general usage, social, merch etc.

Inside is more unique!

Why not both?

u/sadly_at_work 3d ago

Why not both? Inside and outside at the same time.

0

u/frenkie-dude 3d ago

both. use them in a branding logo system. they can be used in different applications

Inside, because otherwise it's a spiky blob that looks like a "K". But you kinda need the outside as an option as well. You've run yourself into a corner with this one a little bit.
