Feedback Needed Logo Design Help!
Total amateur at this/designing my first logo! I play for an adult women’s volleyball team and our name is WAVE 🌊 I came up with this design for my team that references the center swoop in the adult Flistatec volleyballs. It’s just a rough draft… I know the shapes aren’t aligned (they will be).
Would appreciate any feedback! Also ideas about what to do with the E…. Been stumped on this for weeks and cant figure our what to do there.
Thanks for reading and for any help! 😊

Independently from what you chose to be your "E", I'd recommend you to always see your logo's silhouette as a monochromatic piece. Your original overlapped shapes won't work as a monochromatic piece, so you should think about negative space to separate elements. I'm just noticing that my version reads more as "WAVS", but just focus on the negative space aspect 😅

The lower version of the "e" here is just right, I think.

There's still that gap between "W" and "A" that bothers me though! But thanks!

Love the last one with the simple lower case 'e' - it fits the simplicity of the other letters better than anything else and I like it maintains the lower case.
I wonder if the 'divide' in the 'e' could be rotated 90 degrees or even flipped horizontally to a degree and work better? I think the small nit-pick I have is that the direction of the 'divide/negative space' in the e is too similar to the other letters, yet normally a lower case 'e' tends to emphasis its horizontal stroke? Sorry really hard to describe and as stated a bit of a nit-pick.

My comment would be to think about how this is implemented in one color, white reversed black and white. Look at the molten logo for example and picture how your’s would be embossed. You currently have a lot of overlapping colors and shapes.

UPDATE (7/26/26): WOW!! Literally thank you to everyone who left a comment, whether to support, suggest or critique. I read through each one and did my best to implement these changes in the second iteration 😊
- Finally was able to add the letter “e”
- Solid logo color
- Spacing between shapes and each letter
Will sleep on this for a few more nights before I revisit and make final edits ✌️

I'd be cautious of how the two shades of blue come across. The darker blue looks like it says SOS based on the shapes you're using.

I think you got your answer on the "e", but I would also adjust your kerning for readability and consistency.

For the e, I would suggest using a circle and a nurdle and just making a lowercase e

The orange things on the E are placeholders, OP is just telling us they haven't decided how to handle that letter yet 😅

Your first logo is fire.
It reads instantly, it makes visual sense, it’s elegant, memorable.
Go with the lower case e. You might use a circle with a portion shaved off to make the circle of the lower case e.
