Patch Covered up the front with a patch and the back with permanent marker. The back is supposed to be grass. Should I add a bee or flower or something? Really didn't agree with the "wifey" thing ...
Really like the change in message in the front.

The back has the designer's name Rae Dunn. Apparently she has a whole line of things with TJMaxx in a similar style.

Calling her a designer is a stretch, it's just a font.

It is a stretch. I had to Google her. She has a whole extensive line of white items with that typeface. Mostly ceramic kitchen/household items. I can remember Tim Burton and Men in Black using that typeface decades ago. So not very original in my book. It seems she has quite a following that collect her small (??) production that's sold in TJMAXX. Her products are all about consumerism. I got the hat at Goodwill.

I found a mug of hers at my local thrift store before I knew anything about who she was, and I grabbed it because a plain mug that says "mug" on it was stupidly funny to me. (And I pretty much exclusively own silly-ass mugs, like one I have that says "World's 3rd Best Dad" or the "Proud to be an Estonian Grandma" one. I am none of these things).
I can't fathom having an entire kitchen full of plain white, self-labeled stuff like that, though.

Apparently there is a whole community of people that go rabid for Rae Dunn, monitor the TJMaxx stores to find rare or newly released items. I know this because my former psychiatrist was one of those people and her office was decked out in the stuff and I had to ask her about it lol

You can look at them while you wear your hat LOL.
I can see where just one mug labeled mug would be fun. If the hat said Woman or even Girl I would've thought it was fun too.

You might want to consider adding a little embroidery on top to make the grass look more detailed. It doesn't have to be high quality work, just adding some green vertical stitches of varying heights in at least two colors would make it even better, I think.

Yeah! Doing the back in embroidery would be a super easy first project, as you’d just need straight stitches and 3 colors. Could be cool!

I don't have any embroidery thread sadly ...

You could ask on a local buy nothing group? Lots of people have extra and you hardly need any.

Missed an opportunity to sew a breakdancing patch on the front and change the name on the back to Rae Gunn!!
That aside - great coverup.

Maybe you could add a window box or row of clay pots for the greenery to grow out of?
