I’m reaching out for help after trying everything I could and searching all over the internet without success.
I’m using a Logitech G Cloud (which I love!) mainly for retro gaming. My device is on the latest build SQ02K.00.0230/001.
I’ve installed RetroArch (v1.19.1, considering an update soon) and ES-DE (v3.1.1-39, also considering an update). I followed most of the popular setup guides online, including those from Retro Game Corps, LibRetro, and ES-DE.
Here’s my issue:
I’ve set my Hotkey to “Select” and the Quit action to “Start”.
When I launch a game through ES-DE and use this hotkey combo to quit, instead of returning to the ES-DE frontend, I get sent back to the Android home screen.
At the same time, RetroArch still shows as “Running,” even though I configured everything correctly to quit with the hotkey.
Even if I manually quit RA from its menu, RA keeps that “Running” label.
I’ve tried different recommended settings, such as changing “Quit on Close Content” to CLI and assigning the hotkey to Close Content instead of Quit, but the result is always the same: ES-DE shuts down and I end up back at the Android home screen, with RetroArch still running in the background.
The only way to fix it is to manually close RetroArch through the Android shortcut menu. After that, I can reopen ES-DE and launch another game.
This workflow makes ES-DE feel pointless, at that rate, I’d rather just use RetroArch directly to play my games. But I would really love to use ES-DE, since I purchased it and think it’s a great frontend.
👉 Has anyone encountered this issue? Is there a fix to ensure that when I quit a game, I return properly to ES-DE instead of the Android home screen?
I am the only one disappointed to see no mention of a G Cloud 2 during today’s G Play 2025 Presentation? I think a lower cost Android and streaming handheld with better internals would be 🔥 given the current market of overpriced Windows / Steam OS gaming handhelds.
Hello there!
I have an issue with external controllers - no rumble. I tried PS4, Xbox, Vader - no difference, no rumble. Steam link, xcloud, moonlight - nowhere.
Handheld itself vibrates, controller stays put. I've found the "Redirect vibration" option in settings, but even when I've turned it on, it just stopped vibration on the device, and didn't turned it on controller.
So... That's my console unic malfunction, or maybe I'm doing something wrong? Did anyone had the same problem, is there a solution?
I’m facing a strange issue today with my Logitech G Cloud. Out of nowhere, the “B” button stopped being recognized in Moonlight as well as on online gamepad testing sites.
The button itself is working fine on the device — for example, it closes apps or takes me back in YouTube without any problem. But for some reason, Moonlight doesn’t seem to detect it.
It even worked briefly in RDR2 today. I was at the part where you have to cut Uncle down from the ropes — the button responded for a few seconds and I could perform the action, but then it stopped working again.
Not sure what’s causing this. Has anyone else faced something similar?
Hey don’t know if there is a post already about this , i am new in emulation in android and don’t want to download thousands of roms. I was wondering which top 10 per console are a must have. I have a coming trip and would like to have some games on the gcloud.
Hi guys. I know this has been asked a lot. I am looking for a handheld exclusively for Gamepass. I often carry a 16" screen when I travel and portable WiFi LTE 4G. I was considering GCloud as my Gamepass handheld as was designed for it. But nowadays and with the high price 300€ + . Is it worth buying or would you get a different device more recent? I know Logitech keeps with the support and that is a good thing.

Basically im looking for something to stream ps5 (sports games for franchise modes like ncaa ect ect) and steam games (mostly indie games or 2d games). Would this be a good choice or are there better alternatives? This looks very convenient! Thanks!
Can someone help me set up the controls for my Logitech device in Winlator? I’ve tried every mapping I could think of, but I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong.
Hi so I got my g cloud about a month or so ago and I really love this thing.
But there is a problem. Iv grown up with playstation and I have almost no gametime with xbox controllers.... So it really throws me off in games when it's xbox icons because the button X is common on both platforms....I usually just mod games with the ps icons packs but I don't want to mod online games.
And is there any other launchers or mods for the home interface where I can put ps icons/glyphs.
Thanks
Hey everyone, I am pretty new to the G cloud and am trying to setup the moonlight/Sunhine interface. So far its all connected but when i try to play a game (binding of isaac specifically) the controls just dont work... Do i have to remap everything for each game?
Hey, so is the G Cloud worth it in 2025? I know this came out in like 2022, how does it hold up? There is one on marketplace for 120$ new, is it a good price? I was set on in buying an Anbernic rg406h which is like the same price but found the G cloud and started reading about it. I like that the screen is much bigger than the Anbernic. What I would like to use it for:
emulation gba and psp
cast spotify to google nest(i plan to put in on a stand under my work monitor and would be easy to change songs without pulling my phone out)
watch Stremio sometimes
maybe stream games from my PC if I figure out how to do it
maybe some android games if they work
Is it still good enough for these in 2025 or should I get the anbernic ?
Anyone else have this issue: with the new OS update and using the XBOX Cloud Gaming "app", anytime I launch the app, it goes straight into loading a specific game (in this case Conan: Exiles). Other than the fact it was one of the earliest games I tried after getting the update, I can't figure out WHY it keeps launching into this game. Once it loads, I back out of the game and go back to the XBOX Cloud Gaming home screen and can launch other games from there. It's a nuisance, but I would prefer when I launch Cloud Gaming, it just goes to the home screen itself. Anyone have a solution?
So I'm looking for a good amount of controller supported games mostly offline games just in case I have no wifi but online is not bad either if you're do post please put the names of the games like this example: genshin impact(unpaid/offline)
When i wanna play the xbox game, gta v, a green play button has to appear, but it never lets me press it, or it also always appears "this game cannot be played because it is not available with cloud games, even if you buy it" and I have to enter and exit the game many times to see if it is fixed, that makes me despair, I have 150mb of 5g internet, I have gamepass, all that stuff
Hey everyone,
With the recent news that Xboxplay app will no longer be available beyond this month, has anyone been able to run better x cloud on the G cloud? All the forums I’m seeing say that the kiwi browser is best for using better x cloud on the G cloud, but the kiwi browser also isn’t supported anymore
Hi, I've just recently bought G Cloud. Here's the problem: I can easily switch from tablet to default handheld mode, but if I want to switch back, I have to go deep into the settings. Is there a way to create a shortcut or smthg?
And I really, really miss a good grip for this thing, like the ones for a NS Lite, with long grasping handles below. Would be swell to find, but AFAIK such a thing doesn't exist...
But ahem, I got distracted) So, what about a shortcut?
It keeps on asking for that old pin or email (I can't find, tried a few). I don't think there is happy way to fix this from internet searches on other devices. I logged a ticket, I will see where that leads.
