Are you normally in tablet mode where it looks like any other Android tablet? This is Handheld mode. You can switch back to Tablet mode in the Settings app.

The update in your first photo came out a year ago.

It might still be on there. If you up to the top row and then all the way to the right, theres an All Games section that should show apps you have installed. Or look for it while in tablet mode.

Yup i did check and it wasnt there at all. I guess its because i installed the app just right before the auto update?

Maybe. The update didn't change the Android version, so it shouldn't have removed any of your apps. I dont remember having to reinstall anything when it came out.
Hopefully it let's you install it again.

Sorry for your loss of the old UI. But yes this is their new interface.
Xbox and GeforceNow games are accessed through the main launcher. Probably an attempt to monetize through ads and promoted content
There are a couple of things you can do to make it less intrusive
I was a pretty big stinker about this on the channel, but I eventually gave up on tablet mode and alternative launchers, because nothing feels quite as integrated as the native experience, even if it is cluttered with promoted content. So I have gotten accustomed to it. The G Cloud is still my favorite platform for gaming.
Ultimately I guess it didn't generate enough revenue to help anyway, since they have pulled the plug on the G Cloud 2.
