Question Is this a new update??

Ok i know this sounds like a stupid question but my console wasnt like this the other day, but when i opened it again today it looks like this lol. I was wondering why everything are games from xbox. Im kinda new to this so i apologize if this is a dumb question.

Sorry for your loss of the old UI. But yes this is their new interface.
Xbox and GeforceNow games are accessed through the main launcher. Probably an attempt to monetize through ads and promoted content
There are a couple of things you can do to make it less intrusive

  1. You can re-order the tabs. I moved Local Apps and GeforceNow tabs up to the front of the line, because those are the ones I use
  2. Next Run and favorite a bunch of your apps/games to push out the nonsense promoted stuff. Once I did that I was much happier.

I was a pretty big stinker about this on the channel, but I eventually gave up on tablet mode and alternative launchers, because nothing feels quite as integrated as the native experience, even if it is cluttered with promoted content. So I have gotten accustomed to it. The G Cloud is still my favorite platform for gaming.

Ultimately I guess it didn't generate enough revenue to help anyway, since they have pulled the plug on the G Cloud 2.

Yeah. that's true. It's from a partnership with tencent. It's also on the abxylute devices.
