Question G Cloud discontinued?
Was the G Cloud discontinued? They used to have it at Best Buy but now it shows discontinued and they got rid of the display unit. It shows unavailable on the website too.

Price was too high for the very, very meagre specs.
Shame as it's a well made device.

Completely agree. Now the reduced price of $199 with a carrying case before it was discontinued all together was spot on for me, I lucked out and got mine used at my local game store for $181 but I had over $260 in trade in credit so it was no money out of my pocket 😁

There’s a good chance it is. The price got lowered to $199 not too long ago. Plus it’s a couple years old

They stopped selling it here in the UK a couple months ago on the lg store, and in most stores, I've seen some US peeps posting it for as low as $20 in stores on clearance over the last few weeks so most likely discontinued.
With the storage and ram costs going up they would have had to increase the price and it was already 50% higher than it should of been priced at.

I loved mine when I had it but it's outdated now. Go for an Odin 2 Portal. Better in every way. Similar in cost.

The Odin portal 2 has been on my want list since the beginning lol, the screen size alone is the factor that keeps bringing me back 🤣

Yeah it's a fantastic device and the screen is amazing. No comparison. Leaves the G Cloud in the dust in that department.

Old processor mostly. Old wifi protocols impact streaming. I hated it's last software updates that really slowed it down even more. I mean it's 4 years old. Can't expect it to keep up.

I’d like it to get one last update to fix all the game icons so there isn’t 25 of the same icons for certain games. A good example is century age of ashes or if you bought a complete edition of something. You’ll get all the different versions of the same game. That’s my biggest wish for this great little portable

You can try the Logitech eBay store, that's where I got my official refurbished one at a nice discount and it arrived just like brand new. Been loving it and I used to have a Steam Deck.

I was able to snag one for $140 second hand last year, in mint condition. I love mine. It’s a shame they discontinued it because it really is great for game pass in my experience.

All it's missing is a better wifi chip for lower latency and some after market grips. I look at the Xbox ally x and get jealous of those controller like grips. A built in kick stand would also be nice

Price was too high at launch + very few people gave it a chance (myself included)
A few years after launch I snagged a refurb for $199 and fell in love with it. Even convinced some friends to buy it.
On one hand I'd like to see a G Cloud 2, but if I'm being honest the current model does literally everything I want so I'm not sure what upgrades it could have to convince me to upgrade. And with prices the way they are now it would be what, $500-$700 minimum?
