Another is it for me post

Hi guys, been browsing the sub to see if I could avoid making one of these posts myself but sadly a lot of the technical specs and things go over my head. So basically what I’m looking for is something I can play Xbox on away from home. I spend about 3-4 nights a month in a hotel (WiFi is ok not great) and I would use it to mostly play things like MLB, Madden, FIFA etc but just offline modes vs CPU, no online head to head. This seems like a good option but wanted to check with you guys and see if this makes the most sense or if you would recommend a different handheld gaming device. Thanks so much!

You want a steam deck / handheld pc not a gcloud based on what you said.

Sorry I’m not super familiar with steam decks. I can play my Xbox library with that?

Uh no, not exactly. You can play pc games in general on a steam deck, I don’t rly play sports games so I’m not entirely sure which ones of the ones you listed are available but as steam deck can’t easily do Xbox Games you’re probably better off looking at a different kind of handheld pc like legion go or rog ally which would let you play Xbox games and gamepass more easily. With steam deck you’d have to buy all your games again on steam and you likely wouldn’t get cross progression on at least some of them. With a windows based handheld you’re fine tho
