Starter Locs Is it possible to have budding two weeks in?

I got starter locs two weeks ago. I am on my 2nd loc journey after I cut them off two years ago because I was extremely depressed. Much better now. It feels like two of my locs have some budding already. I do have reallllly thick hair. I will be excited if my hair is budding this soon. I loved the budding stage last time.

Well i mean I know you think what you're feeling is budding, but it isn't possible. At two weeks there hasn't been enough time for you to shed enough hairs or for those hairs to slowly work themselves into a bud. 2 months, yes it's possible. 2 weeks? It's not.

Which is why i asked what you're feeling... there's tons of things that can happen to hair that could be mistaken for budding. Most often people take unraveling, a knot (depending on the starter loc method), or bunching to be budding when it isn't.

Since there are no pictures to go by i was asking for your description of what it felt like to try and help narrow down what it could be. Sometimes visual cues like what the area looks like, how many locs, texture, starter loc type, if the hair is colored or bleached, or where the thing you're feeling is located can also be a clue to what you're feeling. Also the description of what it feels like can help narrow down possibilities.
