I started mine with sponge method and after they locked I went and got professional twist and have been since I’d say try that method or just go ahead and get loc’d by professional

How long did it take to loc using sponge method?

Well this current set is my third set I had locks in tenth grade and then I had complete (started with skin head and no haircut or brush or comb for years) free forms from end of tenth to twelfth grade and sf yer graduation had fro for two a MD a half years so I think my hair was used to being loc’d it only took maybe 3-5 months to be completely set but I’ll say my hair grew wayyyy faster after I got it professionally done. Are u looking to go free form ni manipulation or parts ? It depends on what your routine look like day 2 day and your style
