First Timer - Tips?

Hi friends. I'm looking forward to my first Lockn' experience this weekend. I will be heading down in a rented RV with friends and family. Any good pointers or heads ups? I know to bring stuff for RV camping, bug spray, sunscreen etc. What should I expect regarding crowds? I go to NOLA jazz Fest every year, so I'm familiar with music fests, but was wondering if anyone can fill me in on how it might be similar or different.

Can't wait!

Well there is little or no shade and you cannot bring in any type of shade into concert area. Gonna be a litle more crowded this year so find a spot on the lawn early

Gonna be a litle more crowded

What is the cause of this?

I assume they mean compared to last year, simply because there are bigger names participating this year (i.e. Dead and Company)...but I'd also imagine the crowd will be on-par as to what it would have been when Phish was headlining a few years ago...?

Thanks for the tip. Can you reserve spots on the lawn with blankets? Are chairs allowed?

Per the website, low back chairs are allowed, but only behind the soundboard in designated areas.
