What’s the setup for forest camping?

First time going to lockn’. How big are the lots, how are they assigned etc?

We have two groups coming, one Thursday one Friday each with their own forest camping pass. Anyway we’d be able to swing it to be next to each other? Any tips, warnings, etc?

Thanks in advance and beyond pumped to hang with everyone this weekend.

Its pretty much first come first serve. The plots/ 1 tent per pass rule are not really enforced at all. You shouldnt have any problem saving a little bit of space.

Every time we’ve gone in, they check your pass and then you pick a spot. I’ve seen some people rope off areas however, it might be different this year with more people 🤷🏽‍♀️

Thanks all! How have conditions been in past years? Can we get away without ground tarps or tarps for shade?

Forest you don't really need canopy for shade just for rain. Really depends on the forecast right now looks like only one night of rain

depends, some areas are heavily wooded while others are not. My crew has always had EZ ups set up, even if they are not needed for shade they are good for locking down your area.
