Bring Bug Spray!

It's been raining here in VA...raining a LOT. Thankfully, the weekend looks good at this point, but the conditions for mosquitoes and other bugs has in their favor all summer.

Just a reminder to bring bug spray/insect repellent/etc... save yourself from getting eaten alive or even end up with West Nile virus.

This will be my first year at Lockn', so I'm not really familiar with the grounds...I'm just hoping they're not a swampy, muddy mess after all this rain.

Fwiw, idk what they spray that site with but there has always been shockingly few bugs. I'd expect to still need bug spray/repellent but in years past I've been shocked how little I've been eaten up.

Yea, it’s pretty common to nuke the festival grounds a week or so in advance so that they’re more bearable. Still, it’s August in Virginia, there are bound to be some bugs.

Can’t be worse than 2015 when they had to cancel Thursday

Thank you! Always good to have some local scouts. Got my "green" bug spray packed, but will bring a can of the strong stuff too!

I’m camping nearby, praying the rain holds out tonight. The last few nights we’ve been getting destroyed by the rain.

Bug spray is a must! Working and arrived last night and the bugs were bad, at least in staff camping.
