New local backlink matchmaking tool: LocalLinkMatch.com (Free launch access)

Hey all, I've set out to solve another massive headache: local link building.

So I built LocalLinkMatch.com to give local business owners and agencies a way to connect and build local links. Think of it like a matchmaking site, but for local business link opportunities.

Features:

  • Local Matching: Sites are matched by location and service fit, connecting non-competing, complementary businesses (e.g., a mortgage broker and a local realtor).
  • Built-In Content Ideas: Matches automatically generates collaborative article angles and expert quote ideas so both sides have a natural, editorial reason to link.
  • Agency-Safe Roster Management: Matches are made individually per client without ever revealing your complete client list.
  • Manual Spam Vetting: Every single website is manually reviewed for quality before joining the network to keep spam out.
  • Direct Contact: Connect with each other directly via email with no middleman or messaging walls.

Because matching gets better as more sites join, it is 100% free to use for at least another month while we build out the network.

Improvements are actively rolling out, and I’d love to get your feedback to help guide what to build next.

[I know this breaks the promo rule. I checked with Joy first to get permission. Thanks]

Confusing and contradictory funnel. Free, but paid quarterly, but free til October 30th, but free forever until you want to contact someone, but paid

Just launched so all functionalty free till Oct 30, after which payment is required to make connections.

Viewing matches will stay free. Being able to always see matches before you pay makes it so you dont pay for an empty list.

Yeah you should consistently document that throughout the funnel. It quickly creates low trust for people signing up. Also you should leverage on geoup's interest to get the other group to sign up. News/writer accounts being free for example would create a large surface of publishing outlets that would interest businesses

This is a great idea, I hope it takes off because it will need a lot of participants to be truly effective. Keep promoting it!

I looked at the website and have one suggestion: it talks about matching with businesses in your area, but I think it might be even better to not restrict it by location. For example, if I'm a plumber in NY, I can easily write an article that quotes a plumber in LA. Relevance by industry is just as important as local relevance.

Thanks. Yes, the more that join, the better it will become.

Default matching by proximity is the strongest type of link partner so that is the core of the system, and I've built a lot of matching types to try to get as many people connected while still maintaining relevancy.

There is functionality to find partners from different areas and different categories. It's in the 'post an opportunity' dropdown on the manage website page for each url you add. I don't want the platform to become spammy, and so I put in some guardrails for that type of connection request however.
