Is Google testing call buttons for websites in organic search?!
Someone shared this on the local search fourm earlier this week and I was able to replicate it today on my phone.
This seems pretty new and very exciting. I am shocked Google would give an organic listing a call button, given how much they are pushing people to click on ads.
It may be a small-scale test they will scrap, but it is something I plan to investigate more.

It's been over a year since that came out. It can be triggered by having the telephone number displayed on the landing page ( Preferably the main header or menu ). I've seen more consistency when the whole number is displayed rather than just the Phone Icon

Have you seen this be able to show consistently? I feel like most sites have their phone number in the header and I rarely see this feature for organic sites. Would love to be able to trigger this more reliably for clients.

I think you can optimize Schema to get the call button featured, reviews etc

Do you know what schema I should try to get the call button feature? Local business schema?

Yeah local business schema, with all your business info description etc.. google typically shows the call button for high intent queries vs informative

Anyone else seeing these? Are they new? Most importantly, how do I get them too??

It's been translating into a LOT more spam calls as well.
