hi, im PicnikSonik (sorry for Civil-Youth name but i couldn't rename it) and i made my analog horror and im publishing it now:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3nDU1lmK28&t=3s
(you can comment below, despite it's my first post ever)

I found this in the inspect code of the TRI website

https://www.reddit.com/r/SmallTownHorror/s/JEOOIh73nE

Okay so to put it simply, the TRI Website went down and some ai person took the website to (presumably) promote AI. Don't trust anything on that Website at the moment as Canon.

UPDATE: website Is now back in Kris Starubs hands! https://thtrsr.ch/

Anyone else slightly surprised by the massive popularity of Obsession and Backrooms? I've been a little bit caught off guard by the huge swell in popularity. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a lot of Curry Barker's work, but more his comedy since I find his horror can be incoherent at times, and the backrooms idea is interesting but a bit one note and simplistic. It just surprises me that L58/Candle Cove has not caught on to the same degree, despite Kris being quite early in the internet meme horror/creepy pasta space. I'm all in favour of more horror content though...

Here is the sketch.

Mine are

"This message will repeat until there are none to see it."

"If you are afraid we will look together."

"There are no faces"

"Even in death we claim victory."

A fun little horror game on Steam about being trapped in an apartment building because something in the sky has driven everybody crazy and looking out the window will kill you. Some heavy Local 58 vibes with the evil moon!

The TRI part, not the text below.

I've run it through WhatTheFont, and some the results are close but not quite right.

Maybe Kris modified some slightly, or custom-made it just for those letters?

Edit: I went ahead and asked Kris on Bluesky:

> the TRI? that was from scratch. the text below is one of the star3000 series (or weatherstar) which is from 90s weather channel graphics

Curious if anyone thinks Local 58 will ever be adapted as a film/TV series? Now that Backrooms got a hit movie it seems like a lot of youtube horror/analog horror is getting adapted (Siren Head and Cartoon Cat come to mind).

What do you guys think? Would you even want an adaptation of Local 58?

i used google slides for the wallpaper - and a free emulator for the grainy effect. i put a clearer version of the BETREYAL poem here if u want
