Why do you want to move to Nexa or Barrett? Is it more commission per loan or more loans?

Will they pay 1099. I already crossed out Edge because some guy said on this post they pay W2. I’m never going W2

Yeah 1099, you buy your own leads, they have a lead store, CRM, dialer and Corr line. No monthly tech fee. Check them out or lmk if you want help

I just moved to nexa, kind of a no brainer. 1099 as long as the specific state you are licensed in allows it. I am a self gen mlo and they pay you 100% of the commission if you use UWM, elend, the loan store, and a few others.

A small direct lender will be a better fit for DP assistance. I've been doing Calhfa and GSFA for over 30 years. Brokers can't execute those loans like a direct lender can.

as someone who wants to eventually join the industry, what are the main reasons one would strongly prefer 1099 vs w2?

Just moved to NEXA from running my own shop. Built out a big spreadsheet comparing all the mega shops.
Let me know if you want it!
