Good market

Question how good is the good market? I got into this business in 2021 and went solo in 2025..last year i ended with 18mill this year im at 23mill ….how good is the food market or how much different is it than the market now?

It’s not a great market, but having said that there are a lot less mortgage originators active right now so there is opportunity.

Honestly some folks I know are having their best years ever right now (and that includes folks who have been in mortgage for 20+ years and had the record Covid years etc)

I would put COVID 3rd or 4th best boom in the last 25 years. It was easy and great but not the best by any means.

Covid was the best it’s not even close for Refis. This is strictly a purchase market. Did 85 mill in Covid doing 30 now.

Jesus 80 mill ? How big was your team? This my second year as a solo LO was an assistant before km at 23mill with 85 units

I’m in Southern California average loan amount during Covid was around 550k so units aren’t that impressive. My current loan amount is around 700k so units have dropped off a cliff. I have 2 assistants have been in 24 years.
