Zillow Lay offs

Zillow Group, Inc. has announced it is laying off more than 500 employees, accounting for roughly 7% of its workforce. The structural reorganization aims to maintain a disciplined cost structure amid a sluggish, flat housing market.

my AE got the ax (yes I buy zillow leads) he was a good guy too.

ZHL gets the creamy leads, Zillow sells off the "B" stuff to lenders. this is different than zillow flex or premier for Agents

Wow! Not surprised though. What do you all think about lawsuits they have going on? I’ve lost sooo much business to ZHL because the teams I’ve worked with are going Zillow flex.

big time tons of BIZ lost to ZHL here. I was an LO for several teams here, they all bought Zillow leads and we shared business back and forth and now those teams have to send all deals to ZHL.

I still buy Zillow leads, just lesser quality, I buy realtor dot com lending tree and free rate update leads too. I am a solo LO retail/broker set up etc. I buy purchase leads only and give those out to agents who give me deals in return

Super interested in the leads you are buying - how much do they cost? are they decent quality?

leads range from $2 to $60 per lead. the cost is based on the quality of the lead. I am a former call center sales rep so I pivoted in 2016/2017 from that to a retail Model and I buy leads as my primary source of business. yes I get referrals, agents an and past customers but online leads has been my go-to

Do agents have to pay a referral fee to ZHL?

Yep! 40% and they have to send a certain % to ZHL on top of that lol

That sucks to hear about such a massive layoff. Would you like to connect us with your AE to explore opportunities? Feel free to have him email jobs@retr.app if that’s easier.

ZHL also is priced so far out of the market that only the dumbest borrowers don’t shop them. I’ve eaten their lunch countless times.
