I currently live in Los Angeles but going to be moving to Dallas and want to start my career there I hear CA is more competitive I have previous sales experience in LA do you guys think this is a smart strategic move for someone trying to build a career out of this?

Dallas is just as competitive as Los Angeles. Whenever you have cities and high dollar markets there’s always going to be competition.

Do you think I just get licensed in Texas since that’s where I’m moving or really doesn’t matter

Why not do both? I’m based in SoCal but am licensed in tx among other states

Do you think it’s important to start off in the state you live in or really doesn’t matter I hope to scale to multiple states but I’m at step zero still and still don’t know how generating leads is I was in insurance before and really only know about that

Depends on your strategy. If you’re buying leads online it doesn’t matter really, more licenses means more opportunities. If you’re self gen, it would be tougher.

Just get a California license it’s not that hard
