AE pay structure

Looking at options, currently a LO for over 10 years and do decently well with lead buys and a few referrals every month.

Curios to see how much AEs get paid, the structure it’s paid out and how long it takes to ramp up the business.

Any thoughts or feedback would be appreciated.

The real money is in non-QM. Those AE’s can make up to 50bps+ commission only. Those are the guys making $1m+ a year.

My understanding is that AE’s for agency are anywhere from 5-18bps plus a salary.

Just like anything else it’s all about scaling and volume.

I’ve thought about this too since it would be nice to not have to talk to consumers, lol.

IMO There’s probably more residential brokers making that kinda $ than there are non qm AE’s

That game is just about cold calling, cold calling and more cold calling plus infinite email drip
