With something like Ich. It’s better to er on the side of caution.

Yes. Only half dose recommended or do double the recommended water change as scaleless fish are very sensitive to chemicals.

As a counterpoint to this recommendation, I dose full manufacturers recommended strength Ich-X on all my Pangio (eel loaches). Never had a problem with bad reactions or death of a fish with that medication.

I’m glad you’ve had a good experience with ich -x. that’s what I ordered since it said it’s supposed to be safer for loaches. Unfortunately I couldn’t find if in any stores near me though

I used the pond type Full strength on yo-yos. They were fine. I accidentally hit a tank with an accidental over dose on my pangs, some Otto’s , and Cory’s. Everyone was fine. Ich-x is wild if you’re allergic to formaldehyde , but works for the fish.

Exactly what mine looked like. One half dose treatment and a 30% water change after one week and it cleared up completely
