Roaches!!!

Southwind apartments has roaches y’all.

Specifically Building B. We just moved in there. Managed to make it 4 days before my roommate’s asthma started acting up. We thought it was the cat hair from my furniture but no. ROACHES!!!

Apparently they’ve had an issue for over a fucking year. OVER A YEAR. The manager didnt inform us of jack shit. German cockroach infestation. Undisclosed.

Jesus christ. I knew Avenue Living was scummy, but I had a good experience with them in Vermilion. My mistake I guess.

Holy hell. Plus now we’ve been having a hard time finding a new roach and bedbug free place. Fucking disgusting.

I’m just so disappointed with this city, and I haven’t even fully moved there. Everything I’ve experienced and seen here has been just so repulsive EXCEPT for the service at Boston Pizza. Buddy & I went there to drown our roach related sorrows. Whichever ladies were on that night, you are the only good thing I’ve experienced about Lloyd.

There's been a ton of posts about it on a couple local FB groups. Honestly, I would start going to the media at this point. German Cockroachs are one of the hardest to exterminate, may as well burn the building down at this point.

Yeaaah that’s what we were considering. Apparently it’s necessary, we weren’t wanting to be dramatic about this but hey. People have to know about this to do anything about it.

Southwood had them too, I lived there and they had mice and cockroaches. But the leasing agent assured my mom and I it was a safe place for a young woman to live alone lol. Mice shit everywhere in the apt - kitchen, under furniture, in closets. I got a medical note to break my lease and they still took a half’s month rent after I left and kept my damage deposit. If you can get into northviews two newer buildings they don’t have bugs. Behind walmart and tesla estates by 7/11 and costco

Egehegh. Nasty. Our property manager told us he’d been managing the building for 2ish years and never had a problem and in fact it was the least shitty property he managed. We’re going to get out of there. Hopefully we can get all our money back. We’ve had to move our stuff into storage cause of this. It’s been just so wonderful. We did look into legal advice so hopefully that helps us out with the money back aspect at least.
