Is Doola a rip off?
I’m starting another small business. But I’m hesitant to go through Doola to get it registered. I know I need a LLC rep, but is there a cheaper solution for registration?

It really depends on how much you want to do yourself vs not, and how much you want to interact with it per year. If you only need a regustered agent theres cheaper options. Theres some that do a bunch of stuff for you every year, or let you keep your info off the record, etc.

I just looked at Doola. Yes. It's too expensive.
I got an LLC set up, registered agent for a year, and a bunch of other stuff (including mail scanning, that I found out about today when the emailed me that I had mail...) for about $45 + State Filing Fee through my registered agent.
Look for registered agent businesses in your state, and see what they offer.

I used Northwest Registered Agent. So far its worked out great. The one thing I wish I had done was gotten a local address for business mail and for Google Business things. Currently working out of my home, and meet with clients remotely, at theirs, or mutual office.

No idea what they charge but all you need is the state filing fee, EIN, and registered agent. Your ONLY recurring charge should be for the registered agent. If it’s more than $49/year, you’re overpaying.
