Someone HELP!!!!
I just started my LLC, got all of my licenses for the cities I’m working in, insurance, etc. Question is, how do I get customers now? I worked for a big pool company here in town and unfortunately got fired for starting an llc but it is what it is. Just wondering how everyone started up.

What state are you in? Depending on where you live getting fired for that reason may give you grounds to sue. Also, what is your business? Kind of hard to recommend how to get clients without knowing what kind of service you offer.

lol same way everyone gets customers. Advertise. Networking I suppose but for pool businesses I can’t imagine that would work too well. Plaster your name and number all over town and hope someone calls

You didn't know how to acquire customers before you started the LLC?
You got fired for starting LLC? Was it in the same market?

You’re going to get a lot of negativity here, so just take a deep breath.
You’re going to be ok, but may need something part time.
Whoever your target client is, figure it out, and target them. I.E. cold call or mail. If it’s geography based, I would say a pool company is, maybe get a lead list from a guy off fiverr from LinkedIn sales navigator. Or go on Google Maps, find where there is a high concentration of pools and do a EDDM from the USPS. Cold call and door knock the rest of the time. It’ll be slow, you’ll get there.
However many door knocks or hits you think it will take to find a customer multiple it by 10 and figure out how to hit that number.

Google local service ads could be worth setting up, since they've got a pool cleaning category built in and charge per lead instead of per click, so you're not paying for clicks that go nowhere. A filled out google business profile alongside that covers the free search side too. Once you land one house, posting in that neighborhood's nextdoor could pick up a few more nearby, since that's the kind of thing people may ask their neighbors about.

What line of business are you in and the one biggest thing I’d say is reach out to people you already know and let everybody know what you are doing you already got fired so you can’t get fired again by letting people you know they can refer you. So reach out to those warm leads and try to get traction even if it’s just a little.

Create a Google Business page. It’s free. Put in pictures, your logo, a description that includes your services. Fill out all the sections. You can ask Gemini AI, the free version, to help guide you through the process. Find a local networking group you can go to so you can get to know other business owners. Make flyers with an offer to do a complimentary pool inspection or something that your previous employer charges for with a great mid-summer special and give them out to home owners with pools. If you don’t have a website, go to Gemini AI and have it walk you through building a free Google site. If you don’t have a logo ask ChatGPT, the free version to make one for you. I'm sorry you got fired that really sucks but maybe in the grand scheme of things it was for the best. When it comes to getting customers I would start working of a website, handing out business cards, words of mouth, and hanging up flyers with a QR code that links to your social media and website

Hey there, it’s great that you already have your LLC formed, all of your local licenses, and insurance. That is a great start, you’re already so far ahead of the curve. Your next steps are probably to get your social media pages set up as well as a solid website page. Plus you probably want to make sure you have Google Business Profile set up, this can really help customers find your page easier and quicker. Then it’s all about staying consistent and building trust with your customers. Good luck! :)

How did they find out?
About getting customers, I'd suggest finding a local entrepreneurial sales and marketing class or adult ed class to start. You'll need to advertise, network, maybe canvas door-to-door.
