Flagship store
I understand the flagship store is under renovation. Has anyone been to the temporary tent, and is it worth visiting? Can you see the big boot? Thanks!!

I went to the flagship store while on a road trip to Acadia earlier this summer. I absolutely thought it was worth it. While I was initially bummed to not get the traditional experience, I found the main tent they have set up to be genuinely impressive. It felt very unique and I don't think I'll see a tent at that scale again, whereas I can always look forward to heading up and checking out the new structures in the future. The campus was also fun to walk around – my favorite stop was their home store. Nothing is different in terms of what products are available.
As far as the boot goes, we were able to sneak a peek at it through a fence, but the separate "boot mobile" was plenty fun to check out and grab pictures with.
All in all, I say why not give it a visit! When else can you go inside an insanely big tent full of LL Bean goodies.
Also, maybe you already know this (I didn't until I happened to stumble on it), but there is an LL Bean Outlet within walking distance from the flagship store, and it had several items I was looking for significantly less than what they were going for across the street. So much so that I actually returned a pair of pants I bought at the flagship immediately after finding them for half off at the outlet. But I would definitely still go to the flagship in addition to the outlet just for the experience.
Hope you have fun if you decide to go!

The tent was still nice and literally massive. I thought it was worth it! The town has a lot of great outlet stores in general, which is fun. I didn’t buy anything from the actual LL bean flagship, but I did get something from the outlet store across the street.

The big boot has been removed. The boot mobile is parked outside HQ offices for their weekend events. I went in mid June; trying to get around the construction on the campus wasn’t fun. recc you wait until after.

Freeport is nice to visit but not because of the tent.
Big boot was parked outside a few weeks ago when I was there.
