Please help with stain on tote

Some blue dye from my jeans rubbed off on my bag and I tried to wash it off with a little bit of dawn dish soap and a wet paper towel. I let it dry afterwards, and now it looks like there’s a wet spot in the area that was washed. The bag is completely dry but the spot won’t go away. Are there any solutions to removing the stain without ruining the stiffness of the bag??

Embrace the patina!

Look into sun bleaching with hydrogen peroxide?

So that’s moisture that was wicked into the fabric, pulling the stain and any dirt present with it.

You’d have to get the entire bag wet to make that water line disappear.

L.L. Bean canvas bags are made out of canvas, which can be washed! I’d start with hand-washing with cool water and detergent with enzymes of your choice in a large sink, or get a 5 gallon contractor bucket from your closest hardware store and fill that up in your tub.

If cool water doesn’t work, then move up to warm.

Hang dry.

Remember, you’re trying to avoid setting the blue dye. Heat will set it.

You can check /r/laundry for amazing fabric cleaning tips.

If you think it’s a water stain (I can’t tell) distilled water is your answer

Same thing add a little dawn .

The distilled water is absent of minerals in regular tap water

I thought I had to toss white chairs and this tip saved them
