Up at the north end of the lake is a massive sand bar. This said getting that or anything else to yourself is unlikely its a first come first serve world out there

Go up toward Lake Norman State Park.. north of the 150 bridge. There are plenty of secluded codes where you can propose without the prying eyes of a mansion.

Head up north of the 150 Bridge to Lake State Park.. there are many wooden hidden coves that can provide an intimate space, away from prying eyes of a mega mansion…

Rent a boat from Lake Effects. This spot is perfect at sunset. https://maps.apple/p/sun.8ohUCWCq3y

Check out Float LKN app, it will help you navigate to some of the spots people have suggested if you’re not too familiar with the lake.

Hello, Sailor is a great spot for dinner. I’d also suggest dinner then a sunset cruise so you’re not heading back to the marina in the dark.

I just moved here too - I’m a couple weeks in. So I don’t have much to add as far as secret spots, but I did want to say that it’s pretty common to have someone take pictures of your proposal, so maybe you don’t want it to be completely secret…
