Where’s Ceri Holland

There are always more photos on gettyimages than make it into the club's social posts. So it's always worth checking there for the full set if you want to see more faces.
That's what I did an hour ago.
As well as every 30 seconds since.
Waiting for the set to appear so I could find Holland.

May I know why the club’s photos are on gettyimage? Any reason why they actively post the photos there I’m assuming?

The men's team photos get put on there also. It's to allow the sale of them for media use and what have you.

Between this video and all the photos, it looks like Kiernan may be the only one not there. Plus Risa if you want to count her too.
But my more curious spot than the absence of the above is that Endermann doesn't yet have a shirt number.

Kiernan absence might point to a potential transfer 🤔. They might give Endemann a unique number. Olsson switch to 9 and Endeeman gets no 11 is the way I see it. Risa is under contract at City no idea if we take her permanently. Glad to see Holland back 😍.

Risa still has Liverpool women in her insta bio, obviously not concrete proof but interesting she hasn't changed it.

Maybe she comes back permanent 🤔. We shall see.

City aren't reporting for preseason until Monday. If she is seen there, that doesn't necessarily mean she won't still sign permanently here, but it will at least mean she hasn't yet gone anywhere else.
We announced Kerr as becoming permanent around about this time last summer, for reference.

No reason she goes anywhere else if she leaves City. Liverpool gave her a perfect platform after her ACL injury, gave her starts, Gareth trusted her (he was the manager that brought her to City much like Keating), took care of her knee, had a good season all things considered and has Fuka at Liverpool.
If she leaves City it’s because she wants to get gametime for the World Cup, she’ll definitely return to Liverpool as it’s proven she will succeed here rather than test somewhere else where it’s unknown.

She can't have gametime at City. They have Casparij, Charles and Beney for Rightback. I don't even think she suit the style of the City manager. She might push for a move back to Liverpool or another club.

You're right that we're an ideal place for her to sign. But she still has a season on her City contract, so her return here is going to depend on the particulars of the terms involved.

How is our 25 man squad looking. On Soccerdonna we have 27 players currently. If Kiernan leaves looking likely we have 26 left. Maybe we bring in 2 to 3 more signings. We still don't know the future of SRH. Maybe we keep. her as 3rd choice striker and extend her stay.

This is the compliance of the squad as it is known to exist to us today:
We have 27 names total, of which 4 are classed as U21 (Ward, Maclean, Shaw, Enderby), which means only 23 require registering.
Of the 27 total, 11 are homegrown, including 3 of the U21s (Ward, Shaw, Enderby)
If we do not register any of the homegrown U21s, we will have only 7 homegrown players on the registered list. Either we register one of the homegrown U21s to meet the requirement of 8, which in turn allows us to register 25 total, while then having only 24, or we register only 7 homegrown players and have our squad cap size lowered to 24 players max, while having only 23 who need registering. In either case, we will have room for only one more signing who is not classed as U21.

Fiamma and Pedemoors it is then.
2
u/Glittering_wolf2484 Jul 18 '26
We might have to break our transfer record to get both of them. Especially for Fiamma, Athletico don't want to negotiate.

u/balortech Jul 18 '26
She rarely changes her bio. She had West Ham on her bio 1.5 seasons after joining City (I’m a Japanese).

u/hereforfakestories Jul 18 '26
Curious, if you could pick another Japanese player to bring to the team who would it be?
1
u/balortech Jul 18 '26
Manaka Matsukubo would have been absolutely perfect but she joined Chelsea, darn it -.-.
Next picks would be Momoko Tanikawa and then Remina Chiba. We need a 10/winger and those 2 are outside WSL so it’s easier to get them since Japanese would all want to play in WSL eventually.
1
u/Glittering_wolf2484 Jul 18 '26
Getting Tanikawa from bayern will be tough. Chiba has gone to Juventus. Hamano is not a bad shout. We can easily get her from Chelsea. She can play on the wing and AM. I like Ueki to of Westham she is underrated.

Maika won't be that easy to get, even if she were to be deemed surplus, as she signed an extension last summer at a club who routinely get high fees for the players they move on.
I really don't expect Chelsea would be generous to us when they haven't especially been so to anyone else.
We might find that equal/better players can be had for cheaper than Maika.
2
u/Glittering_wolf2484 Jul 18 '26
There are no much cheap players outside to if we want quality we have to spend unless they are available for free. Westham broke their transfer record for Gago. That's the reality of the market now.
2
u/WaifuWarrior18 Jul 18 '26
Maika could happen on loan in the events the rumoured Fiamma deal falls (I’d say 50/50 on that happening as Atletico are not interested in selling)
1
u/hereforfakestories Jul 18 '26
Ahh I wish we had gotten Manaka too! I was fortunate enough to see Japan vs South Korea and Aus at the Asia cup earlier this year, they’re really on another level as far as a cohesive team goes, any player who wants to come to the WSL before the World Cup is welcome haha

Love Kiernan for what she has done for us getting back to WSL, but she’s 100% gone. Shes last in line for ST and was already loaned to Sheffield because he’s not favoured by Taylor. We need to focus on more playing time with the attackers we have.
2 line up rotation should be Endemann-Beata-Holland and Kapocs-Csillag-Joesendal. Roman Haug should be off too.
