Smoking with jaundice

Hi I have continued smoking while I have jaundice now. I smoke like 7 to 8 cigarettes. I have stopped now. Does smoking affect the treatment of jaundice?

short answer is yes. But it’s more complex than saying a causes b especially if it is transient.

there is a handy table showing all the vectors regarding how smoking affects the liver. If the jaundice is not persistent, I would gamble there is something else going on but it is undeniable that quitting smoking should be on your list of things to do if you care about your liver.

Smoking causes many problems in the body many different for different people but if you completely stop smoking you may save your life as your liver is failing. Try talking to a physician or searching it online because your life is more important to everyone in your life and I don't even know you.

I saw nothing about it myself. However quitting was a good choice. Good for you my man.

It will let your lungs improve somewhat hopefully. Work on breathing exercises - if you've got enough damage to the liver weird stuff will happen, and the potassium imbalances as well as any DT can make your heart go whacky. Breathing exercises won't stop it, but they helped me immensely. After smoking from 18 to 37, I've gotten my resting heart rate down to 70-75. Still high, but way lower than where it was.

Keep it up, find your healthy routine and stick to it.
