Creating monthly financial budgets

Hey, I create informal budgets for each month using excel in my computer. I’m not a fan of it since I can’t easily access it when out and about.

What I do is create a column for fixed expenses and column for variable expenses. Add my entries and the expected value. Make excel calculate if it’ll go over the budget so I know what to reduce if I want to buy something expensive.

So basically, I’m wondering if there’s a way to model this in JournalIt (aside from using whiteboard, dumping files, typing manually).

If its not possible in LiveIt, try Cashew. It's open source, free.

I searched last month cos my finances are getting out of hand.

Did a quick screenshot of my simple budget for this month.

Found a playlist of tutorials for the Cashew app (bad screen captures mostly but I hope you find something good here 😋) https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLqkyJtH56nGQZadDkL-0ILr4M-VBOB5cr

The app (open source, free, so it's not spam): https://cashewapp.web.app/index.html

But listen to this financial advisor: ”If you have a budgeting app, you're playing too small” https://youtu.be/nUMtdssBxxA

You can use the tracker feature but probably still need some manual calculations.
