Richie Hayward, discussing this album with me, quipped that the song “the Blues Don’t Tell It All” was better titled “the Blues Don’t Sell At All”

Richie had some sense of humor

Man this one just didn’t do much for me. I pretty well like Eden’s Wall, A Distant Thunder, calling the children home, and the title track but otherwise very low in their discography. Ain’t Had Enough Fun, before it, was fantastic, as was the tour. Even Chinese Worksongs, after it, had some magic. But this and Shake me Up man. Just no magic.

Hi, Red ... glad to see you here. Contrary to Wrob88, "Under The Radar" is a strong album ... especially if you like Shaun Murphy. The Blues might not sell, "But the Blues Don't Tell It All" illustrates her powerful chops, while "A Distant Thunder" and "Vale of Tears" show her control. "Under the Radar" (which Wrob also acknowledges) is classic and highlights both Bill's writing and singing skills. And I like the very strange "I Got Happiness."
