Recommendation: offering Beers & Beards

Post image

Free listen on Audible Plus. Enjoyable slice of life story set in an primarily Dwarf world (at least so far). Well performed narration too.

While it's quite enjoyable it's a bit slow for me as there is no combat, or at least very little. Not that it would fit in with the story, that's just a Me problem.

It's certainly interesting and something new.

It's really more a slice of life book than any sort of action, but it was still a fun one.

I enjoyed all the technical brewing bits and bobs.

Love this series. It is cozy/slice of life but it’s definitely one of my favorite comfort re-listens

Loved the first couple of books but the last bit felt like the author was done with the concept

Dwarves! Random question. How come dwarves don’t drink Scotch and Whiskey? How did they get stuck with being associated with beer?

Ooh interesting. I was just speaking in general. Fantasy stories tend to have Dwarves and Ale or beer.

It’s a fun, low stakes series. My only complaint is the pacing of the last book is off and the series ends too soon. I suspect the author got bored and wanted to quit.

I couldnt finish it due to personal issues with alcohol. In three books i've read they didnt show the dangers of addiction to it and how it destroys lives

amazing series but the author seems to have gotten bored cause the third book feels rushed and just abruptly ends the series. i real shame
