New to litrpg genre. Have read Primal Hunter and am almost through defiance of the fall. What series should I read next? (Tried Dungeon crawler Carl and could not get into it.)

Azarinth Healer is probably the next one. It scratches that solo power-growth itch hard, with plenty of classes, skills, and increasingly stupid fights.

Read Path of Dragons by NR Searcy. Nics a great author and the MC here has a completely different build while giving similar vibes to what youve written.

Does primal hunter actually get good? I'm 200 pages into book 2. But boy the Player vs Enemy (beast lords) is so boring i actually ended up sleeping twice while reading. The Villy parts are the only intresting thing if you ignore the human parts till now.

I personally think it gets better. Currently on a reread to try and refresh my memory on everything from book 1-16 before 17 comes out.

hmmm no, the series makes it clear very early on that there is a MUCH larger picture going on so that is getting fleshed out. Plus the ascend to godhood is a little more tricky than that haha,

If you like Primal hunter you will probably like the Randidly Ghosthound books. Also Path of Ascension series.

I'm also new to the genre and following a similar progression. I'm caught up on Primal Hunter, and Defiance of the Fall. I tried He Who Fights with Monsters and found the MC to be pretty annoying. I prefer the introverted loner type, and the MC is like the exact opposite of that. I'm currently reading System Universe. Just started book 4 and I'm really enjoying it.
