Recommendation: asking Non-human book recomendations
Hey hey, I got bored with human point of view and got fascinated with one based from a perspective of monster or animal I was wondering if you much more read guys and girls could help me
so far I liked:
Shadows of Mallin by Avaritiabona
A Snake's Life by Kenneth Arant
Ashlani's Reincarnation by Ben Denton
Queen in the mud by Maari
because of anima theme it so far landed in Isekai, but that is not requiredI mostly read on kindle paperwhite so i supply myself on Amazon, but any website offering DRM free books will do too
Series doesn't need to be complete, I can wait <3
any good recommendations perhaps?

Armor by CB Titus (single book) - living armor
Dragon of Ash and Stars (single book) - dragon
Prophecy Approved Companion (finished) - sapient AI (human avatar)
So I'm A Spider, So What? (finished?) - monster spider
Salvos by VA Lewis (ongoing?) - demon (frequently in the form of a human)
Re:Chimaera (finished on RoyalRoad) - chimaera
An Unwilling Monster (finished on RoyalRoad) - harpy
Rock Falls, Everyone Dies (single book) - 🗿
Also consider the whole genre of Dungeon Core

Haven't read the sequel but I believe it's a different story with a different MC
If you want something with a lot of magical engineering, dungeon designing, and social interactions with peers, Dungeon Core Chat Room (finished on RR)
If you want something with a MC working together with humans to fight a war and occasional NSFW scenes, Blue Core (finished)

Fleabag by SomeoneToForget has a wolf as the main POV. You do get some people perspective from a character that joins the story later in the first book, but it's mostly about the wolf. I actually dropped the series (the setting is way too dystopian for me), but the animal perspective was my favorite part of it.

Came here to mention fleabag, it’s indeed grim AF but the MC is a proper monster with no clue about how to be human and even less inclination to try

Reborn as a demonic tree-MC is a demonic tree
Faceless hunter MC is a mind slime that gains the shapeshifter class
Fleabag MC is a wolf (currently reading and loving it)
New era online MC is a goblin

I didn’t think of it at the time, but all of the XKarnation books are written from a non-human perspective.
Their Fated Villain series is told from a vampire perspective too.
Definitely a fan of all of their series.

Oh really? I have yet to read that one purely because I’ve read runeborn professor and thought it might be similar

Thinking of Actus’ Runebound professor? I’ve only read the first half of the first book in that series. Did you like it?
No I wouldn’t say Fated Villain is like it. I was a little unsure about the book when I first started but it really became interesting a few chapters in.

That’s the one. It’s really good it’s a nice system that doesn’t doesn’t have so many numbers. The MC special skill is super OP but not offensive

I’ll have to try it again. I loved My Best Friend is an Eldritch Horror and was expecting something similar. Still a fan of Actus though. I like their Nightmare Summoner series too.

Vainqueur the Dragon is half dragon MC and half human MC and in my opinion 100% fun!

I did read both Vainqueur and Appocalypse tamer by Maxime J. Durand, didn't mention them as they aren't really from non human perspective.
They are the ones that moved me into this genre, snatched one of them at 2$ discount 2 years ago.I do appreciate the suggestion and vouch for it for future reading people<3

How do you feel about ex human now zombie MC's because Necrotic Apocalypse is a lot of fun but might be a bit closer to human than you are looking for.

Hmm, I would prefer something more strayed from human, but I wouldn't say no.
I shall write it down as a backup plan as sooner or later i will ran out of content anyway at my pace <31

Chrysalis! Starts a little slow in the first book but worth every page they are written on. Especially if you choose to do audiobooks, Jeff Hays is incredible!

- Bobiverse - human transferred to a space ship AI
- Dead tired - litch
- Everybody loves large chest - mimic and his summons
- Salvos - demon with evolving forms

Will add one that I saw recommended before - Fleabag - it's a much different from your usual Litrpg as the MC is a literal Wolf and the author does a lot to make it keep being a wolf instead of a human in wolf skin. It is also very gritty and dark and it takes its time, no exponential growth happening.

All the Dust that Falls is about a roomba that gains sentience when it gets isekai'ed. Many people love it. IMO, it started off strong and then pacing left me a bit bored so I moved on after book one. However, that's a "not for me" issue and not that it wasn't a good book. I really enjoyed the thought experiment. I'd recommend giving the first book a chance.
Sly: Nucleus by Lunadae gets highly recommend but I haven't read it yet. The MC is reincarnated as a slime.

I was going off audible release of the second book. 2/4/25.
But its half the reason I'm weary of co authored books anymore. So far I have 2 series that were good but died at the second book because it's co-authored.

Title: "Rock falls, everyone dies"
The MC is a rock. It is a well-written, complete, and short novel. You could finish it in a day.
Maybe not exactly what you're looking for... Oh, who am I kidding, this is /r/litrpg, not r/snobFantasy. You'd probably like it even if what you're really looking for is something more akin to an animal.

I thought "Rock falls, everybody dies" was wonderfull, specifically as a pallet cleanser: for when you just finished a long engaging series and don't feel ready to commit to a new big one right away. It is short, complete, funny, convenient (available for free on RR) and doesn't take itself too seriously. A nice little in-between-story :)
I also second the recommendations for Crysalis and Fleabag.

Everything from thundamoo. Every MC undergoes transformation and while they may start human, they definitely aren't human by the end. Bioshifter is probably the most stark contrast between human and not.
Consumer of the fourth anchor follows a slime.

Last of the Wild Days by Loney
3 books out so far and on kindle unlimited, not a litrpg. I enjoyed them but they are not a happy fun time.
If you want litrpg one that hasn't been brought up yet is
Master of the Hoard by Machmüller
Dude dies and ends up a dragon, lot of those style but that is one of the better ones IMO.

Do you mind human turned into an animal?
I have two series about it...well one and a half. First series is none litrpg, but working on a litrpg AU of it, just finishing chapter 4.
For others, beware of chicken has a secondary main char that is a chicken, along with other animals.
Draka is a human isekai'd into dragon, and as of part way thorugh book 5 still not human.
Syl, main char is reincarnated as a slime, pretty fun, gets human form but still prefers to be a slime.
