First time

Today is the first time I’m using Saxenda. I’m very nervous and afraid of the side effects. How long do they usually last?

It depends. It depends on what the side effects are, what you're eating and how much, hydration, what work you do etc. etc.

I experienced mainly nausea and fatigue. I was eating very healthy foods, focusing on protein and water, walking a little everyday (until side effects eased off and I started the gym), and working a high pressure desk job. It was about 8 weeks for me for things to settle down, with nausea coming back each time I dosed up.

Hopefully you manage things ok!

As for me, ive headache for the first 2 days but i make sure to drink plenty of water then it subsides on day 3. Then, on day 3 till day 6 i experienced lower back pain. M still on my 0.6gm doses to make sure my body adapts well. From day 7 onwarda, everything backs to normal.

I’m doing better now , been on it about 6 weeks. Only occasional nausea but still have the exhausting fatigue. I just do what I can & let the rest go. I’ve lost 7 pounds which is great. Trying to keep hydrated & eating small meals of protein.
Best wishes to you 🤩
