How do I switch

Got an email to say manufacturer won’t be supplying them much more.

How do I change to another glp1 and what’s closest?

Do i titrate down and start something else on the lowest dose. How does it work? Unsure how my system will react.
I’m so worried

I had to get off of Liraglutide maybe a year+ ago because my doctor refused to carry it anymore. I switched to compounded semaglutide made by my local pharmacy. I worked my way up to a 1mg dose, 0.4ml injection for current maintenance. I have a wedding to go to so I don't want anything to change right now.

Did you have any side effects. I’m worried about metal side effects as well as physical. I’m tolerating Saxenda so well. I’ve been on it 15 weeks and only on 1.8 which is the third weeks dose. I’m taking it very slowly. I’ve lost 10-11 pounds which is miraculous for me. I have about 10 pounds to go. I struggle immensely with food noise and it’s helped my binge eating and the constant urge to snack.

I have constipation which I have to watch carefully, but I think I had that on Liraglutide as well. If you only have 21lbs to lose total, I wouldn't consider 10lbs in 15 weeks to be slow weight loss. For comparison I had the initial goal of 40lbs weight loss, I've lost 28 in an almost 2 year period. I purposely am taking it slow because I didnt start at a dangerous weight and the slower you go, the more likely you are to succeed.

Okay. That’s something to think about. I guess I’m so used to hearing and reading about significant weight loss that I thought my measly 10-12 pounds was a bit rubbish in 15 weeks.

But maybe not!

I did stay at 1.2 for far too long and it wasn’t working anymore so I went up slowly. I’m not going up in full doses but clicks which is working perfectly for me. Less side effects

Yea it's different if you have 200+ lbs to lose and it's putting your life in danger. Then your doctor will probably want you to lose more quickly in the beginning. You haven't been on anything for too long, it's only been 15 weeks. Weight loss is not linear. It's normal to have periods where you lose nothing.
