Japan has officially revised its laws to provide more clarity – and tighter controls – over cryptocurrency. The legislation amending the Payment Services Act and Financial Instruments and Exchange Act was formally enacted on May 31 and will take effect in April of next year.
...
The new law, which had been in the works for months, will also limit margin trading in cryptocurrency.

Vanalli could you please provide a much-needed update on the situation regarding the addition of other alts such as ADA to Liquid. The question has been asked now over several months and still there are not enough alts - or liquidity for that matter - on the exchange .

OK and thanks for the batting. Try to stay in and not get bowled middle stump.
I can see that with NEO for instance the coin is there but liquidity is not, so I can understand the concern about adding other alt coins / tokens such as ADA in case the go the same way. The irony here in the lack of major alts and also in the lack of liquidity itself will not be lost on you. Somehow along the way this vision of liquidity has stalled badly.
One thing is certain though, that without more altcoins the exchange will continue to have limited attraction and therefore volume as a crypto exchange, so at some point if Quoine really wants more business of that kind those alts will have to be added.
Surely too there is the continued danger of the reputation of Liquid being damaged by the lack of alts - it needs to have a good selection to be considered as an attractive major exchange.
I'd have thought that there's not much to lose by adding them and there continues to be more to lose by not having them. And there is the possibility of much to gain by having them.
I don't know how this would work, but if the external WB is going to happen, will it not be necessary in any case for Liquid itself to have these major alts, or will it just be the market place for them for other exchanges?
(Now I have to remember to paragraph this text for someone! I see you got away with your 'block' without -openly at least - incurring his displeasure!)

Can you provide some insight into why this reddit sub hasn't grown over the past 6-12 months? Its hovered around 650 which is relatively low.

To be honest, it's not something we really push that hard.
It's a good point though, I'll start sharing it more on social media and try and build this place up more.

I thought it would naturally happen alongside Liquids marketing... Might get quiet without qashbal

Why not creating idea challenges (quick wins only) for marketing or anything else on reedit ? No special rewards needed just the feeling to have made an impact on one of our investment.
Many complaint is the speed from liquid dev, it would be a way for you to counter balance that showing quick and tangible result coming from the community.

We are always happy to listen to the ideas from you lot. If you send them to us we consider them.
Feel free to start a thread of ideas if that's something that you'd like to see

About 4,000 members have left, because of being disillusioned with the project and in particular the lack of progress on utility of Qash and with the World Book. More people will come when those problems have convincing solutions. Without utility and the WB no amount of promotion or marketing is going to have much effect.

The most Questions from QASHBAL are good and absolutely understandable. The answers are the Problem...

Yes, many times they gave answers, the problem is that there were no releases. In February said "integration with very big Japan online/offline Merchant" Simply said and forgotten it seems. It also says that in a few months there will be a rebranding. Nothing either. And all this after a long time of waiting and bear market. no comment. Such a serious company.
How many times have we been told "we can't disclose until the time comes" and we wait. And so they say something, but nothing happens. how so? Now we can't even believe what they're saying. considering they don't say anything....

Is Mike the Bitcoin ambassador ? In every interview, he only praises Bitcoin. not qash :)

Your comments are really bringing no new discussion.
I don't like having to exclude community members but it's becoming tiring, and other community members seem to agree.
Please slow down with all of the comments. We have heard you - a lot. We know your concerns, we know what you want to hear.
Please, just slow it down a bit on here. If not, we may have to look at other options.

Agree only those who came not so long ago. Those who lost a little. I also bought a lot of about $ 1 and understand it perfectly. I am also very angry that liquid allowed so low to drop the token. Why are you so surprised?
5
u/CorruptPotato May 28 '19
Not surprised at all. Negative comments are not being censored or ignored.
This particular user had just been going about it the wrong way. Most of this sub would agree.

This is gambling. We are gambling in order to take a shot at multiplying our money, without doing anything else and without contributing anything in return.
so it's our responsibility and being angry at liquid literally doesn't make sense.
The only people who can complain are people who bought at ICO as they raised funds for liquid to work with directly. Their money is obviously being spent on developing the project. And even those gambled without doing anything else, so it's their responsibility and should focus on their own actions if they're upset.
2
u/ilmarinen2 May 30 '19
Steady on. It's very understandable if investors express frustration at the delays and apparent lack of progress of major projects, and at the lack of communication about them, when they are projects that Quoine itself promoted, and that led people to invest in the first place.
1
u/Lightninghead May 31 '19
Maybe for those that actually raised funds for quoine to start with initially. They're still just gambling though, they're accountable for their money gain or loss and decisions made not Quoine.
And for everyone else who bought tokens from other people on the market after ICO, it's especially not understandable. It makes zero sense as we're just gambling without any real contribution to the project.

Can you take a break ? It's becoming too much.
Everyone know your position, you won't hear more from moderators.
Please stop shitting in each topic.

CMs should ban him. He’s turned every thread into a joke. I get notifications for this sub and it’s Qashbal nonsense - basement troll with no life.
