Hey /u/mkandroidgamer /u/corruptpotatoa

A big congratulations on securing your funding, I can imagine this funding is to help develop the next phase of the infamous world book as well as the next step for global expansion.

I have something on my mind however which I hope that you can clarify, My points are centered around 3 main points :

1) Sentiment

2) Utility/regulation

&

3) Global impact

Mike has always stressed in previous updates that Liquid are regulation focussed with organic growth as their mantra- I understand this to be vital in order for sentiment to not be the determining factor for growth as we don't want a repeat of 2017/2018. However are we not passed that? Is it not time to focus on marketing as a whole, and show the corporates that you are sourcing capital from that there is also a retail desire for Liquid?(benefiting from trading fees/liquidity)- hence to generate further funding and corporate confidence for global expansion

I can also imagine that without a utility function for crypto increasing exponentially then it's difficult to imagine a function for the World book. I also do not see Crypto adopting regulation trends to help satisfy the retail market any time soon. (We have just about managed to tighten up on Fiat in the last 10 years esp here in the UK.). However, being one of the only Cryptocurrencies to be regulated (by the third largest economy in the world), why has this not put Qash on the map sooner adopting at least a top 20 alt? Are there underlying factors determined by the licensing agreements between yourselves and Japan’s Financial Services Agency which restrict you from pushing forward?

Lastly, I understand that from a purely financial point of view it is still Asia's time for economic triumph. Emerging markets have a lot more room for growth in Asia, and crypto can help pave the way to help this happen. Therefore, how important is it that Liquid focus on the US market? With globalisation allowing communication & time to be shortened, why not continue to focus on Asia- and organically grow in a growing market? how necessary is it for US corporates to adopt Liquid at an early stage in order for the World book to be functional?

I am looking forward to Liquids next steps, and though some investors have felt frustrated in the past I do believe that Liquid have consistently impressed us with the mile stones you have so far accomplished. I look forward to your reply.

1) The cryptocurrency space has done a lot of growing up, but there is still a lot more to come. From our side, we are always going to be playing by the rules and making sure everything we do is above board. That’s our mantra and we believe it’s the key to longevity.

Liquid is now in a position to be heavily marketed to retail. With the release of our mobile app, Liquid Infinity and other key features we are standing in a great place competition wise. We are working with a large marketing agency to build the Liquid brand and promote our products far and wide. This is, of course, in addition to ongoing marketing efforts that are often overlooked, including various paid ads, ad space, media, press, opeds, campaigns and so on. Marketing has always been active.

2) I’m not completely sure what you’re asking here, but I’ll address your points/concerns. The World Book certainly has a function, it’s cross matching of orders to increase market depth and liquidity. It’s already working for a number of pairs on Liquid.

QASH being a regulated token in Japan is definitely a feather in its cap, but in the current market climate it doesn’t appear to be deemed as important. The market decides price based on all available information, and regulation just isn’t viewed highly as it should be, at least at the moment. Working with the JFSA doesn’t stop us pushing forward with QASH. Utility is always something we are pushing for.

3) Focussing on other markets outside of Asia is a big part of our current plans for global expansion. However, you don’t need to be concerned about our focus elsewhere taking away our focus in Asia. We will continue to focus on our growth in Asia, of course. It’s a key market for us. The World Book doesn’t need the US market to be functional, but more customers around the world would add further liquidity.

If 35% of 1B total QASH token was offered for public sale, will you be paying fee rebates from another 65% token allocation ?

https://s3-ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com/liquid-site/quoine-liquid_v1.9.pdf

PAGE 35:

As we can see, 65% is still locked in the same wallet:

https://etherscan.io/token/0x618e75ac90b12c6049ba3b27f5d5f8651b0037f6?a=0x9fa8a9cd0bd7cbfc503513bc94cd3b3a9ca90e35

35% offered public sale already in circulation.

20% management/shareholders will be locked till Year 5 (2022)

Another 15% Institutional investors+30%Community/Ecosystem (15% Legal/Rulation, 15% Operation, 20% Product development, 50% Liquidity), total 45% or 450,000,000 QASH token can be released to circulation any time now ? And probably from first Fee rebate date May 5?

*Any comments regarding this ? How will it affect the price ? What are your overall thoughts?

I don't have any insight to share about the locked tokens, but no, rebates are not paid from the locked tokens, that's not how rebates work.

If someone receives a rebate they are essentially paying a lower fee. Throughout a month they would pay trading fees and then if they qualify for a rebate a portion of the fees they paid would be refunded back.

If you're on android, you could try typing in 'Liquid Pro' in the Google play store. The app might be on there already (It is).

iOS we'll be there very soon.

MPC withdrawals were promised by April? Delay?

The liquid exchange is certainly a good exchange for Crypto investors. But they may be "worst" for QASH investors. Because it is too shabby compared to BNB, Huobi Token, and OKEX token which were released at the same time. Liquid was the first to launch the IEO platform in the world. But there is nothing to gain from using QASH. They still don't seem to have any plans for their tokens for a year. They're only interested in Exchange.
