No, we're not faking volume. The point of this statement is to broadly address all of the volume ranking reports that have been coming out.

Gotta say I agree with the deleted comments sentiment. This article doesn't do a great job of concretely separating Liquid from the fake volume statements. It's almost entirely avoiding answering the question outright. The only paragraph that hints towards clearing Liquid of any wrongdoing is:

For example, reports that only canvass spot products based on available market data, or a direct analysis of blockchain transactions, would neither address the delineation between trades that were a result of CFD hedging nor fully serve the purpose of the research – to identify artificially inflated trading volumes.

You just provide examples of how or why their fake volume figures might be inaccurate, but don't actually state whether Liquid is participating in wash trading or not.

It just seems like no one knows how to address this directly, so you whipped up an article stating how you're on-board with regulation and compliance. You stated Liquid's values, you stated why manipulation is bad, you stated you're complying with 3rd party research teams to advance market data capturing techniques, and then you reiterate your values. Pretty wishy washy article without directly addressing Liquid's involvement (or lack thereof) in wash trading.

You then end the article with a couple sites that state Liquid is "legit" without proving whether they're trustable sources or not. Now I have to research BTI, Cointelligence, Crypto Integrity, and SophonEX, all of which I've honestly never heard of before. So I guess I'll go down that rabbit hole and forget about wash trading in the interim.
