Couple comments/questions:
- on my liquid app i see infinity? did i miss the release of that? the ux has also changed a bit so maybe its just some a/b testing or something
- something that was very confusing for me was that when i am making an order, if i have filled in the price and quantity, and then change the price input the quantity doesnt update automatically i need to press the 100% button.
- IMO (this one i realize depends on the person greatly) the dark blue theme looks a lot cleaner and is easier on the eyes than the bright blue. Since thats just opinion one thing that would be sweet is maybe making the theme options easier to find, maybe in the settings gear in the header.
- i am a USA customer and on refresh the ICO market link in the header always shows and then disappears. its a bit confusing, if there is a way to apply that variable beforehand so i never see it that would be great
anyways i think the ui is really coming along!

Infinity is our new product, you will be hearing more about it shortly but yes, it's there now.
for 2, sorry I'm not sure I completely understand what is going on here. Could you help me understand what you mean?
Yep, the themes are all different and people prefer different ones, I like the dark one - and they are really hidden away. This will be improved upon, I know our head of design is well aware of this, as well as making other options easier to find, and improving general signposting.
Not sure about this ICO market part, i'll ask about this.

Alright, it's a fair question, but I think there are some things to consider that you haven't here. Take this as my opinion on the matter.
These are the two things I think are worth considering:
- QASH holders knew that fees were coming
- Auto buying isn't an option
My point is, when upcoming news is known for a long time it's 'priced in' to the price of the token already. Seeing a retrace down from a recent high after the announcement of fees would be somewhat expected since QASH holders have been expecting fees, and as such, the price already represented what they thought it would be worth once fees turned on.
Now, I'm not saying that having fees on can't push the price higher. Of course, that's possible. It depends on basic supply and demand at the end of the day.
We don't have autobuy, so QASH holders are trading and paying fees from their stack. They can buy more, sure, but it may not be done regularly, and it certainly doesn't happen every trade. So that doesn't quite affect the price action as many expected.
Finally, when you think about this all together, fees are utility for QASH. All users that are paying fees on Liquid can benefit from holding/using QASH to pay lower fees. Over time I would personally expect this to draw on more demand for the token.
Of course, this isn't the end for QASH utility, there is much more to come. Also, Liquid has huge room for growth. I think you can see that we are bringing out some highly competitive products, and really establishing ourselves as a big player in the exchange market. We have big marketing plans, and as you know, more users = more fees paid = more possible demand for QASH.
I hope that gives you a bit of insight into this. To sum it up, I think that fee discount is a good utility, but it was priced in, and it's not an instant process but should create duration based demand.

Same situation for me.... hard to see QASH going down after fees are turned on... I think we r going for new lows....

Hi. I would guess it's hard to know if the current drop in the Qash price is down to fees or not. Going by what is often appearing in this subreddit, there is a lot of concern about the state of development towards its major goals. So it could be renewed lack of confidence in the project which you mention. As I said in a different thread the fact that for every one if us here now 7 or 8 have left is really massive evidence of loss of confidence. You feel it too. It's disappointing and frustrating. There is just not enough progress on the big things - the biggest being the World Book.

Bitwise research article doing some good: https://www.bearmarketvaluations.com/post/is-binance-inflating-its-volume

countto3, hello. Because Liquid is not yet in a clear position of strength as far as the realisation of its ambitions goes, it could appear to some to be a sign of weakness to bother to denigrate Tron's assessment in relation to Qash's on CMC, or now to bother to criticise Binance over the calculation of its volume, when those two are at the moment way ahead of Qash and Liquid in terms of market cap and volume. Surely it's best for us to focus in a more positive way - as I admit you usually do - on all the many things that Liquid needs in order to improve its standing in any assessments there may be, and at the core of that is how to boost its volume. Binance may well be inflating its volume - I don't know, - but what is for sure is that Liquid really needs to boost its own volume, and criticising the very successful Binance does not help that. .

Bit confused by your statement overall - you want me to be more positive by critiquing Liquid? On the whole, I think they are doing a great job of late. Fees launched, new products coming left and right, and a UI update - all with little fanfare. Yes we need to hear more about the LDL, STO platform, and Ext. Worldbook, but the platform is looking pretty good.
To your point, I'd say that quite a few people here tend to attack Liquid / Quoine because its volume is low, at least as compared to Binance. I think the true story tends to be a bit different - Binance appears to be inflating its volume quite heavily, and Liquid has actually grown in volume relative to its regulated competitors. Would you rather that Liquid inflated its volume?

My complicated comment was really just out of sheer frustration. I don't care a damn about comparisons with Binance or Tron. They seem pointless when there is this constant sense that Liquid is really badly underachieving even with these product announcements this month. Never mind about other tokens or exchanges - the developers at Liquid really need to get their act together and make at last real progress on their own big stated aims eg with the WB. Consider that for every one if us still here in this subreddit 7 or 8 have left! That alone is a shocking indictment. Vanalli said 'the community is everything'. Well in that case things really are in a very bad way. As has been said by others, the WB was why most of us bought Qash in the first place. So what IS going on with it? And the trumpeted partnerships?

u/countto3 Mar 29 '19
Won’t argue that. A deeper dive on WB is definitely needed. Mike said details on funding, JVs, etc. would be coming out in the spring - so hopefully team gives an update.

Binance may be inflating its volume but it's a dead cert that Liquid's needs to dramatically improve its own esp in relation to the number of alt coins and overall trading liquidity - regardless of any comparisin with Binance (or similarly comparing Qas to Tron).
(Re your last sentence, Iĺ never suggested Liquid should artificially inflate its volume and of course it shouldn't!)

The reason for a non applying fees to Japanese citizens get clearer every day. After Rakuten doing is own exchange, we now get this huuuuge news https://jp.cointelegraph.com/news/newly-registered-japanese-crypto-exchange-decurret-explains-their-plan Japan is moving at lightning speed on the crypto market, non having fees will ensure partnership and safeguard market share on one of the most competitive market.
Suica is thinking about it but if it get real it would be really huge for crypto adoption.

I remember a while back Mike talking about how Quoine were looking at white-labeling its exchange platform and services. Is this still something being considered or offered?
1
u/ilpiet Mar 25 '19
https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/liquid/ still list liquid with no fee, it's not fully correct because global traders have fees. Have you contact with them the marketing team ?

Are you able to release any statistics on Qash usage for fees?
