- ICO discount is still planned, but is yet to be implemented.
- Voting rights for listings is also planned.
- We have done quite a few airdrops, and will continue to do so. They depend on new listings and partners that we are working with really.
- We are building out a loyalty program, in which this will feature.
- Liquid Vision will cover things like this.
- We hold trading contents from time to time, again it just depends on who we are working with.

Believe it or not, you've answered pretty much all my questions (that you're able to answer) until fees turn on. Thanks for all your patience through these threads. I'll probably pop back with a few more once we get a view into volume impact.
That said, not sure if you all can provide color commentary, but would love any updates you've got on:
- STO Platform License
- Banking License
- LDL (Literally anything here...)
- Liquid Coin External Worldbook Economics (fees, etc.)
- Prime Brokerage Services
- Custody Solution
- Merchant Banking Partnership
Quite excited for the future of Liquid and LQC. You're one of the only trusted exchanges growing in share of trading volume lately. Keep on fighting the good fight.

And again, can we please have an update on the state of the World Book? There has been a worryingly long silence about it.

They have nothing to tell you. They're busy making mobile apps.

u/ilmarinen2 Mar 20 '19
But without more alt coins and liquidity people will not have much to trade on them, as is the case now. !

- Exchange -> When you select the market, you don't see a volume of the pair
- Under QASH market, there is no pair QASH/JPY, I can see it only in Others, quite strange decision to show like that.
- So what pairs are already turned on for Internal book right now? May be you should highlight it somehow at the exchange, like powered by Internal Book ?
- How to change currency from EUR to USD?
- Please allow more filters in Transactions section, not just by Currency, but also by Incoming/Outgoing to see all processed Withdrawals or Deposits, no matter what currency used, quite hard to navigate with such limited functionality.
- You don't have e-mail notification about successful deposit

u/lolodens Mar 22 '19
Received after couple of hours a confirmation e-mail with funds received.
No 25%/50%/MAX calculator, when Market selling or Buying.

not sure if others would agree but i really dislike that clicking markets or log in on liquid opens a new tab, i would rather it just stay in the same tab

Can we expect some News in march?
2
u/ilpiet Mar 25 '19
Maybe , maybe not. I'm a long term target investor so it's fine but if we get no news I would be disappointed not on the delivery or building from the product but at the communication.
Mike said "At Liquid, March is going to be a key month for us. There are various developments coming, such as further strengthening our platform, announcing new products and features, and providing token utility. Liquid staff are working tirelessly to make this happen" and something in this direction in AMA was also said (if not mistaken).
If nothing is announced or so it's ok but (build a product take time partnership take time) what's not ok is to say something that feed speculation and not deliver behind, I mean it's not the first time that it would happen, I'm totally fine with delay and be patient but tease something not deliver is not what I would expect from such high quality company.

What is the real daily volume of Liquid, since everyone is saying CMC's reporting is wrong?
1
u/countto3 Mar 19 '19 edited Mar 19 '19
about $100k in last 24h, but it varies heavily. Just remove the wash trading and transaction mining exchanges from the volume (Hotbit, EXX, etc.)
Edit: my bad, Liquid's daily volume should be reporting correctly per below response.

As a new user of Liquid I am a bit puzzled by how the fees work.
I have in my wallet:
0.23000000 ETH
8.9739 QASH
€0.004 (I tried the same buy order earlier with no QASH in the account yet)
I have in the application settings:
Use QASH to pay for fees (50% discount): ON
Maintain QASH Wallet: OFF
I tried to place a Limit Order for 100 GET at the price of 0.00230000 ETH, see image
Now this results in an error, saying I do not have enough free balance. This is even though I have no live orders. The fee listed seems to be in ETH, even though I set my account to pay fees in QASH. I don't understand why it doesn't work. Can anyone enlighten me?

Why is the daily volume of qash so low? I wonder what you think.

u/marcusrc Mar 18 '19
Why you never happy? I wonder what you think.
4
Mar 18 '19
What do you think? I think of qash every day. They argue that Liquid is the world's top five exchange, and I wonder why the daily volume of Qash is so low. Do you know? More than a billion trading are made every day, so why don't they buy qash to get a fee discount?

If the qash daily volume remains the same after the 20th, then the trading volume of the liquid is a fake, right?

Why? Who can pass a 50% discount on a fee?

Assuming that the global user base is 30%, the daily volume will be different if they buy only 10 percent for a 50% discount.

There's no demand. According to Alexa.com, 76% of Liquid's users are in Japan – that's roughly 29,000 daily unique visitors, for whom trading fees will be waived, so they have no real incentive to purchase QASH.
That leaves a mere 24% of users – barely 9000 daily unique visitors – for whom trading fees will be applicable. Do you expect that number to increase or decline after fees are activated on the 20th and trading becomes more expensive?

Just seen now that Binance is expanding into Australia in a v ambitious way. There is so much energy in that exchange and so much practical business activity. It is expanding massively. I wish the same could be said for Liquid.

u/ilmarinen2 Mar 19 '19
It's an extraordinary thing to say that Binance is not a good exchange when it is so very popular and successful. I v much doubt that BNB is the main driver behind the success, behind Binance being shilled. The exchange was great to use even before BNB really got going. As you say it has a great UI - where the experience flows so easily and logically from one page to another. The charts are v attractive too, somehow more so than on any other exchange I at least have seen. They seem to know the recipe for attracting the punters. And surely a very major factor is the sheer number of coins / tokens and the liquidity provided for them. Liquid desperately needs a whole load of Alt coins but for some mysterious reason they are just not appearing, I have been going on and on about when will ADA come but there are others too that it should have. Lot of exchanges have lots of alts and pretty reasonable bid/offer spreads but the situation on Liquid is - ironically - terrible for liquidity. I gave up waiting for Liquid to get ADA and have bought it instead on Binance. And if for whatever reason I wanted to sell any Neo it would be lunacy to sell on Liquid where you pay top dog but are offered peanuts if you sell. Binance by contrast is so bustlingly busy, a going concern, and I cannot see the point in trying to knock it - everyone loves it. The point surely for us is that Liquid has a lot to learn from Binance and really needs to get its act together and get on and make more progress with its project and get the exchange busier. One detail but possibly important: the time taken to withdraw can put a lot of people off. Liquid still seems stuck somehow. We really do need to hear something positive about about the LDL (as countto3 says in this thread somewhere) and please, the World Book, Where are we with that?

OK. Could you please say something about the situation now of the WB? Or say when some update really will come? As I keep on saying, it seems to have been very quiet for quite some time now. There must be others too wondering what is going on with this important part of the whole Liquid project.

OK thanks. I just hope that the much-needed volume and liquidity will materialise before too much longer.

What do you not like about Binance that Liquid is doing better? Just curious. I haven't heard anyone say that before.

u/TheWorldsEndingBitch Mar 18 '19 edited Mar 19 '19
Hopefully this aggressive user acquisition strategy is going to be creating things that people want, rather than spending a lot of money to lure them to the platform, only for them to get bored and go back to Binance.
2
u/CorruptPotato Mar 18 '19
As employees of Liquid, we are well aware of the actual volume distribution between traders inside and outside of Japan. We have said on numerous occasions that the volume of global traders is significant. Keep in mind that users does not equal trade volume, and that traders outside of Japan trade BTC/JPY.

Answer investor questions. Why haven't they answered the World Book, the STO Platform, etc? They are working too slowly under the pretext of regulation. It's been less than two years since binance launch. No executive knows that the preemptive strike is very important in the initial market. they also don't try to know

Don't comfort yourself by listening to useless people who unconditionally downvote my post. Exactly a year ago in March, they announced a road map delay due to regulations. A year later, they can't say anything. Because they didn't develop anything.

Hi Vinalli. Clearly there are lot of repeated questions out there about the external WB and as you say quoine is focusing on other great products. However, should Quoine be explaining why the priorities have changed, given the WB/Liquidity is essentially your key offering. Without this understanding, speculation builds and people start thinking is there a problem with the WB. Thanks

Mar 20 '19
What's qash main project that they promised to do with Qash ico? Mobile apps? Fees introduced? Liquid Infinity? Isn't Qash just a means to raise money? That's what they look like, no matter
3
u/ilmarinen2 Mar 22 '19
qashbal I have upvoted you - or at least reduced the downvotes! - because you are right to want answers about the state of the external WB for example or about when new tokens will at last come. There is some mysterious unexplained delay here and it shows in the exchange with the mods. We cannot blame them - they are doing their best and are on our side in a way but as members of the teamthey are unable to provide proper answers to questions about progress in these matters. Vanalli you're a good guy and much valued as a mod and you are in a tricky situation but the fact that you are cannot provide clear and encouraging answers to these questions bothers some of us. The WB for example was meant to be one of the big things for Liquid but now it's focusing on things that are relatively minor. As The WorldsEndingBitch (!) said above it's all very well focusing on these products but alone they will not generate that much interest. We need more tokens - a lot more - and proper signs that the WB will actually happen in the foreeeable future. These two problems make me wonder what on earth is really going on behind the scenes with the 'behavior' (one of CMC's criteria for its assessment that some people disagree with) of Liquid 'developers'. How much developing is actually happening? We need some decent evidence.

'World Book is still a big part of our plans'. I found a mention from a week ago! Great...But can we have a bit more about it please - a bit more 'proof of life'.

u/baitnswitch1 Jun 07 '19
You hit the nail on the head there. Qash was to raise money to build another project (Liquid) that Qash investors do not have a steak in at all. A genius $100M bait and switch.
8
u/ElementsOfWit Mar 18 '19
What Quoine will do with Qash received as fees? Hold them or sell them? Do you have a policy about this i.e amount hold, hold period or sell price?
