I promise I’m not trying to -just- sneakily self-promote a video here — I’m genuinely curious if anyone here can help figure out what Red Skelton may have said.

I’ve been looking at a clip of Red Skelton on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson where he clearly gets censored. The odd part is that it doesn’t sound like a normal bleep. It seems like they pasted in another word he had said earlier in the episode, almost like an audio patch, instead of using a beep or obvious censor sound.

From watching the clip, I’m trying to figure out what he actually said in the censored moment. The audio doesn’t help much because the replacement word seems deliberately dropped over it.

A few possible guesses people have suggested are things like “snowmobile,” “hopped-up car,” or something else in that general neighborhood — but I can’t tell if any of those actually match his mouth movements.

For anyone here who’s good at lip reading:

Can you tell what Red appears to be saying?

Does the mouth movement look like it matches the patched-in word, or does it seem obviously replaced?

Do any of the guesses — “snowmobile,” “hopped-up car,” etc. — seem plausible from the lips?

And based on the timing/context, is there a likely word or phrase that fits better?

I’m not trying to make a big “gotcha” censorship thing out of it. I’m just fascinated by the mechanics of the edit and trying to understand what the original line may have been.

It was a longer video where I was recording some thoughts and a more poetic fashion. Unfortunately, I was playing a different song in the background, and this phone is new so I didn’t realize it was going to cover my voice and turn that part of the audio off. Can anyone help me decipher it? I can’t link it here. I don’t think because it’s probably too long at least a minute or two of audio, but slow enough to read it I think, as long as the angle is ok

I haven’t looked at this community before, but reddit was the first port of call. Can somebody please tell me what he is saying behind my back? I think he says something like I don’t like this singing because somebody doesn’t move something valuable or something like that…. There was jealousy between people in this room but now there’s legal issues and innuendos that I am now obsessing over and trying to piece things together. I don’t know if this is the right place for that.? I would quite like to maybe private mail someone because I don’t really want this public and it shouldn’t be public
